Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Customer Project Specialist supporting our Power Systems Business

This position is accountable for managing large customer engineered to order projects in the Water/Wastewater Market Segment to ensure the customer receives the best sales service possible and Schneider Electrics sales opportunities are maximized.
The dollar value of Customer projects can exceed millions of dollars. The project scope typically incorporates complex equipment and can extend over multiple years. The position takes ownership for the customer as the primary order management contact at Schneider Electric. This includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing of customer projects/programs. Individual in this position confirms customer requirements, which includes drawings, specifications, job site requirements, Bill of Material alignment with specifications & clarify exceptions. Manages complete job process from order preparation, thru manufacturing release, product shipment, post shipment support and financial reconciliation. This position is the primary order management contact for the customer. As such, this position is critical to customer satisfaction, profitability & future business potential.

What will you do?
- Partner with Field Sales or higher level project managers to validate the project's statement of work and contract terms with the customer.
- Responsible for validating the project schedule for executing the customer's project order.
- Update project plan throughout the life of the project with the customer as a means to validate the progress of the project and changes as a result of customer or internal scope or performance adjustments.
- Monitor the execution of the customer's project order. This includes verifying the appropriate execution of the project plan; typically through manufacturing plants, field services, and engineering services.
- Monitor and control the performance of the customer's project through its lifecycle. Key activities include task completion verification, project team monitoring, schedule reporting, issue resolution, and contract administration.
- Accountable for leading the closeout of the customer's project. Activities include financial reconciliation, verification of job site equipment arrival, installation, start-up, and training support completion.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- This position requires a 4-year engineering degree, or equivalent experience. Industry experience a plus especially in the water wastewater industry. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi task, work in a fast paced environment and have time management skills.
- Required product knowledge includes medium and low voltage electrical distribution and control equipment. In addition, a good working knowledge of computer operating systems, specifically Windows. Standard business application software experience to include: MS Office 365, MS Excel and MS Access, also knowledge of Q2C, SE Advantage, Bridge Front Office and other business systems.
- Additionally, this role must maintain and continually refresh technical product knowledge, project management skills, and customer service skills. Internal and external courses complimented with on-the-job mentoring are elements of the positions career and technical development. Career development toward higher levels of project management, will require completion of the appropriate Project Management Institute certification.

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000 - $144,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
