Control Systems Engineer

Developing design proposals, specifications, drawings, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost implications, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

CSE will identify the project requirements, provide design solutions to meet the customer and site requirements, and ensure the customer's best interests are protected during the project.

Candidate will have a diversified portfolio of technical functions consistent with the requirements of the IOU including good knowledge on DCIM, SCADA, PLCs, estructured cabling, microcontrollers and software programming (software programming is not scope of the CSE althougt shall describe functionality and working mode), leading HW and SW designs, driving the digitization and connectivity for Prefab solutions.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Facilitate meetings and interviews with customer and sub-consultants.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tender Phase:


  • Participates in the programming of the project with the customer or customer representative to understand and document the owner's project requirements. Influence on solution to drive.
  • Understand the codes and ordinances local to the opportunity/project.
  • Revise control system designs during tendering stages, guide Solutions Develop appropriate design documents to support the proposal and allow the estimating team to assemble cost for the proposal. These design documents should identify at a minimum the following as applicable:
  • Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Prepare and update templates for easy quotation of control /monitoring systems.
  • Support by revising and designing R&D (Offer Creation) projects to develop monitoring and control systems within Schneider Electric portfolio. Participate in new base design projects to bring field and production lessons learned to design out the issues as feasible in the project.


  • Project Engineering and Factory/Comissioning Support:


  • Prepare all control/monitoring systems engineering documentation for projects engineers and subcontractors within the scheduled delivery time.
  • Design network and communication topologies, wiring schematics, programs, using flow charts. programming tools and drafting tools as required.
  • Engineering support function, supporting requests from other engineering teams, factory, commisiong, sub-contractors, services, site support.
  • Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


SKILLS & CAPABILITIES

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Attend new products trainings and events to improve knowledge and capabilities.
  • Prepare and schedule trainings as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) to other engineers
  • Social media, internal networking, ability to work in internations environment. Teamwork skills.
  • InfraStruxure software selection & application.


SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Travel to customer sites experiencing issues to support the technical resolution .
  • Participate in Offer Safety related meetings.


EDUCATION, EXPERINCE & SKILLS

  • Electronics or Telecommunication engineering
  • Minimum 5 years in the design, application engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years on control and monitoring designs engineering for Data Centers.
  • Good English speaking, written and verbal skills
  • Good Understanding Electromechanical Components
  • Good Communication skills
  • Good capability to work in a Multi Discipline Engineering team
  • Good acknowledge on Schneider portfolio.
  • Good capability to work with Microsoft tools, REVIT, CAD.
