What will you do?
As Contractor Representative for the Secure Power Division at Schneider Electric (APC) you will play a pivotal role in driving sales of a wide range of products, including 1Phase to 3Phase UPS, physical infrastructure, power distribution, environmental monitoring, and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) software. These products are marketed under the Schneider Electric Secure Power and APC brands.
You will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with contractors, consulting firms, electrical distributors, and participating in design-build and construction tenders.

Reporting to the Western Sales Manager, the focus will be on driving sales within the Western Canada region focusing on Alberta and Manitoba and executing the overall sales strategy.
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with Electrical, Mechanical, and Communications contractors across Western Canada.
- Collaborate with local Authorized Service Providers (ASPs) to drive product specification within target consulting firms.
- Provide support to local electrical distributor channels to promote and sell Secure Power products.
- Participate in design-build and construction tenders, working closely with the customer base to secure contracts.
- Understand the technical and commercial applications of Secure Power products and effectively communicate their value to potential clients.
- Execute the overall sales strategy for the Secure Power Division in Western Canada.
- Work collaboratively with cross functional peers on strategy and execution including inside sales, end user channel, transactional channel, and service.
- Coordinate and engage other Schneider Electric business teams where there is cross sell opportunities.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- University degree or college diploma (preferably in engineering or technical but not essential depending on experience)
- 5+ years of relevant experience as an individual contributor focused on selling of a variety of products, services and/or solutions to the construction channel
- Ability to work independently outside of the office (remote working) and manage a geographically dispersed customer base
- Exhibit strategic thinking, initiative, and leadership skills.
- Self-starter with strong business and financial acumen and understanding of the construction channel business model
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to diverse audiences (estimators, project managers, directors, owners)
