Contract Manager
Due to continued expansion, we have a great opportunity for the right person to join our business in Denmark and supporting across the wider Nordics region as a Contract Manager.
In this role you will work within our Global Customer Projects and Service Organization as part of a collegial Contract Management Team, deeply embedded into the business whilst reporting to the regional Director of Contract Management.
The focus of this exciting role would suit someone with experience in a contract ual environment from:
- Contract Management
- Legal
- Commercial Management or
- Quantity Surveying .

Your Responsibilities
As our new Contract Manager, you will develop and agree the commercial contractual strategy for projects and pro-actively execute this strategy to meet margin targets.
You will create, maintain , and monitor contractual obligation registers to ensure that contractual obligations are met by us, our customers, and the supply chain.
Responsible for the compiling , submittal and agreement of relevant information to facilitate prompt resolution of our contractual entitlement .
Support to the project management team is an important part of the role , and you will facilitate knowledge transfer of commercial contract set-up from pre-sales to execution phase to maximize the commercial success of our projects. Supporting the project team , including with mentoring and coaching , to ensure consistent contract/commercial skills are deployed in day to day project execution.
You will participate in negotiation of customer's term and conditions to manage the commercial risk and comply with the policies of Schneider Electric. You will liaise with internal stakeholders e.g., Legal, Tendering and Sales to ensure a compliant work winning proposal is offered.
You contribute to risk assessment and pro-actively manage contractual risk and opportunities.
Other tasks
- Providing contractual and commercial advice to different functions within the business.
- Supporting improvement process on escalated projects e.g., margin slippage, cash issues.
- Preparing and proactively managing contractual correspondences, variations, claims.
- Ensuring that all guarantees and bonds are in place and managed.
About You
You are qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline (Business, Supply Chain Management, Law, or Construction Economics) and passionate about business and commercial contractual matters.
You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing the contractual delivery of contracts in execution and in pre-sales - e.g., negotiating, drafting, and executing of agreements - with good knowledge of both legal terms and commercial concepts.
Your experience could be from Construction, Energy, or Power projects but this is not essential. Ideally you have experience of working in a projects based environment .
You are well organized with strong problem-solving and clearly focused communication skills. You enjoy being part of a collegiate multi-functional team, and you have experience in dealing with project teams.
We will value your ability to communicate, influence, negotiate and challenge to deliver results.
Fluency in Danish and English as a second language is a must (written and verbal)
