The Commissioning Manager has direct contact with customers and ensures customer satisfaction by meeting all project, safety and regulatory requirements. Key KPIs for this role include accurate project invoicing, profitability, direct supervision and mentoring of project team and adherence to the Customer Project Process and Quality Management System.
Main responsibilities:

- Conduct safety meetings
- Confirm installation schedule and resources
- Confirm subcontractors' cybersecurity compliance
- Inspect and store system
- Confirm external and internal resources on site
- Conduct site safety training
- Install system
- Perform site safety audits
- Analyze safety records and manage outstanding issues
- Inspect and accept installation
- Prepare and conduct SAT
- Obtain customer SAT approval
- Conduct user training
- Commission system and hand-over to customer

Qualifications and Skills Required:
This role requires project management or project coordination experience in a professional environment following the PMI methodology or equivalent.
- a post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree from a recognized educational institution, with a program of study in engineering or construction technology considered an asset.
- project management training (internal or external)
- 3-5 years of experience working in the construction industry, with construction supervisor or field superintendent role considered an asset
- CPP global training
- Manage and monitor project scope, schedule, planning, resources, risks and project deliverables commensurate with the assessed solution categorization.
- Coordinate a multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective daily job allocations are grounded in collaboration, team work and quality results.
- Review technical specifications, tender documents to ensure detailed work scope, engineering designs and drawings meet the customer's requirements.
- Apply a process approach to managing risks and exceeding customer expectations.
- A continual improvement mindset.
