You will be working as part of a team responsible for the delivery of projects spanning everything from ETL jobs and low-level embedded protocol integrations to more commonly high-level integrations making use of web-based API's and services to cloud based systems with web front ends.
As a "Cloud Platform Developer" you will be responsible for Architecting, Building, Maintaining and Supporting our Digital Cloud Connection offerings. You will be expected to drive our offerings forward through innovation and collaboration both with the existing team and the wider Schneider Electric community.
Your role will predominantly make use of the C# development language in .NET as part of our integration frameworks and cloud applications built using DotNetCore, .NET, jQuery, ASP.NET and RESTful APIs. This will also include working with pre-built platforms that require you to liaise with the wider Schneider Electric business globally and leveraging Third Party Tools.

You will be required to have both a high level of coding abilities and a passion to innovate and find solutions that challenge the status quo.
The team you will work with has a wealth of experience in many different coding languages and support developments in C/C++, C#, PHP, ASP.net, HTML, JavaScript and MSSQL most recently designing, developing and deploying solutions utilising the full Azure service stack.
You will be expected to fully immerse yourself into the Schneider Electric product set to better understand our Customers' needs. This will include not only Classroom and eLearning but from time to time visiting our Customers and being an ambassador for the team.
The role is based within the Digital Energy business unit of Schneider Electric and therefore you will need to be prepared to develop your own knowledge of the Schneider Electric product set namely the EcoStruxure software platform.
We have a drive to move into the Cloud space by not only re-writing legacy applications to be cloud compatible but also creating new offers for Schneider Electric whilst working alongside our R&D teams' who based in Sweden and the US.
What will you do?
- Participate in technical specifications for components to be developed internally or by external contributors to the platform
- Evaluate new technologies that can be integrated in the platform by creating proof of concepts
- Participate in the development and testing of Software libraries for the platform
- Ensure maintenance and bug fixing on all software components
- Be the interface between the users and external vendors
- Provide support for line of business and teammates on your software components for integration in their products

- MSDN Professional/Ultimate Subscription (depending on requirements)
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Passionate about learning and staying up to date with the latest technologies.
- A willingness to learn the full Schneider Electric product set; ranging from Power, Data Centres and Building Automation to Industrial Applications and Data Analytics.
- BSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical engineering or related field.
- 5 or more years' experience in development with C#.
- Visual Studio
- Care deeply about clean and maintainable code.
- Have a positive attitude.
- GIT
- Cloud based application architectures.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and customer oriented.
- Ability to work well individually and in a highly collaborative, multi-site team.

The compensation range for this full-time position, which includes base pay and short-term incentive, is CAD $88,800-$133,200 for candidates who are B.C. residents. Our salary ranges are determined by including roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers an inclusive benefits package to support all of our employees such as flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, pension matching, well-being programs, holidays & paid time off, and more.
