We are looking for a software engineering Chapter Leader who is passionate about leading teams that are responsible for realizing the roadmaps for Enterprise wide Systems Software products in an Agile execution model for Digital Power. Your primary responsibility will be to manage teams and ensure that you build a high-performance team who are independent, autonomous having the right skillsets to deliver on Product roadmaps. You will be working in a high-powered Agile Environment to solve very challenging problems, using bleeding edge tools and technology. You will be responsible for working closely with the project team to understand and plan milestones for your team. In your team, you will be responsible for the resource management, risk management and personnel management to achieve the business objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Direct overall strategy related to above items
  • Strong ownership of teams deliverables
  • Collaborate with various development teams, business stakeholders and architects to establish goals and priorities for your scrum teams.
  • Pioneers the transformation of the team to an Agile model of execution.
  • Responsible for continually improving efficiencies related to your charter
  • Support working within the business processes and leading appropriate improvements
  • Provide risk assessment and mitigations to Project Management through-out the development cycle
  • Resource management and career planning. Other personnel management items include (but not limited to) evaluations, goal setting, merit planning, performance measurement, etc
  • Responsible for having a very strong influence with stakeholders on determining if we have high-quality product ready for shipment
  • Occasionally work directly with support and sales staff to address critical customer needs


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's / Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering/Electronics & Communication Engineering/Telecom/IT
  • 8+ years software development experience.
  • 4+ years of prior management experience in a related area.
  • Experience in leading teams in an Agile execution model will be a definite plus.
  • Experience in Enterprise Application domains like like Telcom, Network Management Systems & Energy Management would be very desirable
  • Experience in programming languages, like C++, C# (WPF), html5 & javascript .
  • Experience in developing User Interfaces (Desktop / Web).
  • Experience working with Intelligent Electronics Devices in the Electrical Distribution Domain would be desirable.
  • Experience in enabling teams in a model of Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment in the true-spirit of Agile would be extremely desirable.
  • Knowledge of high-level, system architecture and design methodologies.
  • Knowledge of web services (SOAP and REST), N-tier Enterprise applications, Databases.
  • Ability to multi-task with a strong sense of urgency; ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to motivate and influence teams to drive results.
  • Ability to apply business context while providing input to prioritization.
  • Ability to concisely illustrate concepts in words and diagrams.
  • Ability to clearly explain and justify ideas when faced with competing alternatives.
  • Ability to research and learn new topics and become functional with them quickly.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and agile development environment, using excellent
  • planning, estimation and execution skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, high-energy team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form with distributed team members.
  • Ability to present development status, architectural overview and application demos to various
  • groups in the organization.
  • Extremely comfortable with working with remote team members.
