For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $128,480 - $192,720 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric is seeking a Channel Business Development Manager to cover the Midwest US Region. The ideal candidate will currently reside in this region.

Summary:

The Channel Services Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving service sales growth and revenue goals with assigned channel partner (distributor) accounts and EcoXpert Service (contractors) accounts in a specific geography. Geography includes mainly Midwest US geography for Power, Industry, and Digital Power, Secure Power service offers. The BDM will be responsible for establishing, growing, and building capabilities within their partner accounts through strategic business planning. By developing skills and knowledge in key partners, the Channel Partner BDM and partner sales reps will develop awareness of service capabilities, identify and qualify new sales opportunities to engage the appropriate service sales resources. This position works as part of a national team and reports directly to the Director, US Services.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Manage and Execute:
  • Assigned Distributor Sales plans to drive increased business planning & execution,
  • Collaborate with EcoXpert Partners to drive demand in Buy/Resell and commitment/ramp of Certified Technicians
  • Execute the Field Services Specialized Distributor program with these exclusive distributor accounts, driving accountability to program requirements and service mindshare & planning.
  • Be the 'face of US Services' to your Partner accounts and quarterback their support needs to provide the appropriate field service sales and operations support.
  • Collaboratively partner across other Schneider sales entities to improve services selling and position with other SE sales pipes and operation teams, including:
  • the Services Regional Directors and their US Service Sales Teams
  • the National Sales Force (NSF) Area Sales Managers and their respective sales team
  • the US Channel organization including Regional Channel Managers (RCM and Area Channel Managers (ACM), as well Key Account Managers.
  • The Service Manager in each geography where EcoXpert is located.
  • Lead the business planning and customer targeting plans at Partner Accounts by engaging Services sales resources execute on agreed upon customer targets and follow-up activities.
  • Submits accurate and timely reporting to Partner Accounts and SE management that are aligned with assigned sales quotas and performance.
  • Assists with classroom training followed by on the job learning of distributor sales representatives regarding Service offers and capabilities
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive commercial KPIs, ensuring growth and profitability at partner accounts through effective relationship management and targeted sales strategies
  • Develops/assists with marketing related events, seminars, mailings and call campaigns to increase brand awareness and presence in the local market.
  • Promote and drive Services programs, initiatives, events and promotional resources with those assigned Distributors.
  • Effectively communicates and presents the Services value proposition to all executive levels of an organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years professional sales experience in Electrical Distribution Services/channel Partners.
  • Experience in Solution Selling techniques with an emphasis on strong account and territory management
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas
  • Ability to build relationships and quickly develop trust with C-level executives
  • Solid problem solving and consultative skills required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team sales environment with minimum supervision
