Due to a healthy pipeline of projects, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our Power Systems team in our Benalla Manufacturing Plant.

You have the option to operate from either Sydney or Melbourne, focusing on sales for Australia + NZ, to build and implement the business development plans for the regioal Benalla business. This role requires travel to the Benalla plant once or twice in a month.

As the Business Development Manager, you will be driving transactional sales for Power Systems (MV) both directly, through other Schneider Electric business units and through other channels.

You will work closely with the Offer Marketing Leader and develop sales proposals and provide solutions that meet our customer and channel requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a focus point for sales interaction between Power Systems and other Channels to the market
  • Drive order intake and sales of transactional business model for RM Airset, kiosks and transformers
  • Drive sales directly with customers and define the scope of our offers
  • Develop our market intelligence in the transactional MV space
  • Provide a focus point for Sales interaction between Benalla, Power Systems, PP&S and other Channels to market;
  • Drive Order Intake and Sales of Benalla products;
  • Work with FO & customer to develop offers and strategies to win business.
  • Grow the standard reference MV business, implement new offers in partnership with Offer Marketing;
  • Support and collaborate with the product and marketing team and General Manager Solution Sales on Transactional Business Improvement initiatives.


Ideal Candidate
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical or Electrotechnology Trade with considerable experience
  • Sales experience in the energy or technology sector
  • Experience in developing and launching new offers to market with a focus on transactional business models
  • Technical understanding of energy and/or technological products
  • Sales experience in electrical switchgear, protection systems, and/or electrical distribution systems
  • Experience in business or project management would be well regarded
