Business & Data Analyst Intern or Co-Op

Schneider Electric has a new opportunity for a Business & Data Analyst Intern or Co-Op. This position will be based in Foxboro, MA with a target start date of January 2025. We are looking for a talented and motivated individual with a robust background in market trend assessment, leveraging advanced technological methods such as statistical techniques, machine learning, and data visualization tools. The candidate will apply their expertise in market assessment, programming skills, and analytical abilities to foster data-driven decision-making and contribute to various business development initiatives. In addition to that the candidate shall perform the analysis of humongous operational data sets of the plants, identifying the gaps and suggesting the areas of improvement that can unlock great value.

What will you do?
  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market analyses to support business strategies and enhance competitive positioning.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimizing industrial processes and improving efficiency based on your analyses.
  • Data Applications: Design, develop, and maintain data-driven applications and dashboards using tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Analytical Techniques: Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to analyze business data and develop predictive models that inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to execute projects aimed at improving operational efficiency.
  • Statistical Validation: Utilize statistical analysis methods (e.g., T-tests, Chi-Square, ANOVA) to validate findings and support business recommendations.
  • Presentation Skills: Develop and deliver engaging presentations on data insights and visualization techniques to stakeholders.

Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools: Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Advanced Excel.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning applications in business, including predictive modeling and dashboard development.
  • Familiarity with frameworks and methodologies such as Agile, SDLC, and various statistical analysis techniques.

Experience:
  • Proven experience in working with Innovation projects working in all aspects across Desirability, Viability & Feasibility.
  • Proven experience in identifying market opportunities and segmenting the market, including sizing market potential.
  • Background in machine learning or programming, demonstrating the ability to analyze data related to Industrial Automation assets and enhance operational efficiency (e.g., improving uptime, throughput, and energy efficiency).
  • Demonstrated project experience in developing dashboards or predictive models to drive financial insights or performance improvements.

Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
