Overview

The Business Analyst is mainly responsible for overseeing the monthly process to update dashboards and associated reports and documents. The primary focus will be to maintain data quality before executing the process and to collaborate with various data Points of Contact (POCs) to obtain, verify, and ensure timely delivery of datasets. Additionally, the analyst will serve as the primary point of contact for data-related inquiries and actively engage in core team activities, apart from the regular dashboard and reporting updates.

Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a performance-driven analyst to take charge of defining, constructing, and managing dashboards that assess success and influence daily business practices. This role involves utilizing Excel and VBA, and also encompasses ad-hoc tasks such as creating executive summary reports and various scorecards, along with serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries.

• Running the monthly reporting process of data cleansing, data validation, all the way to the dashboard update
• Build and maintain spreadsheet reports and/or populating PPT decks, either from scratch or by maintaining existing solution, as well as repair and enhance existing ones, utilizing Excel and other available technologies
• Assist in data validation and data quality checks and work through the resolution of any issues found
• Track and maintain datasets for consolidation and reporting purposes; strategize on data retention processes to optimize storage and performance of dashboards, templates, and report files
• Provide timely ad-hoc analysis and support for escalations, trending metrics, etc. as soon as the need arises.
• Develop and uphold best practices with respect to change management, documentation and data protocols
• Reconcile and centralize data from multiple sources
• Perform and drive internal analytics to continuously refine how we operate.

• Bachelor's degree in any Computer- or IT-related course, Statistics, or similar

• Minimum 2-3 years hands-on experience in Tableau v10, MS SQL, ETL and Excel
• Proficiency in Excel Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, VBA Macro etc.
• Familiarity with various CRMs like SalesForce is an advantage; can have capacity to extract SalesForce reports
• Consciously adopts best practices and applies performance tuning to existing reports and other solutions
• Strong problem solver, able to investigate and resolve issues independently
• Strong communicator with ability to talk through data/technical details and business/layperson details
