For this United States based position, the expected compensation range is $100,000 - $120,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.
The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Building Automation Project Manager
What will you do?
- This position is typically held by an individual that has at least 6+ years' experience as a Project Engineer, or combined years of system application engineering or technician experience. This position plans, directs and coordinates activities of project teams to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with all company and site safety requirements, accomplished on time, implemented at or below the estimated cost, and billed in a timely fashion throughout the duration of the project.
- Project managers must have building automation and controls industry knowledge, strong communication skills, strong understanding of contracting procedures and experience with responsibilities such as project correspondence, documentation, timely notice of changes and claims, negotiation and subcontract and vendor management. This individual should have a strong understanding of HVAC and BMS systems as well as practical understanding of construction means and methods, building codes, and standards.
- They must exhibit strong leadership skills including directing activity of team members and the ability to empower others through delegating responsibility. Project managers report into the Operations Manager, or a Program Manager in larger operations teams.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Accountable for financial management on all assigned projects
- Must possess strong relationship and communications skills
- Prepares installation subcontractor bidding documents, descopes and negotiates subcontracts, and manages schedule,
change orders, and monthly invoicing - Responsible for all customer facing communications
- Responsibility for safety and well being of employees and subcontractors on projects, inclusive of creation of site safety
plans, site audits, PPE provision, and toolbox talks and adherence to jobsite requirements - Manages resources by planning, scheduling, and forecasting manpower and resource requirements
- Generates a Project Execution Plan for approval by leadership when required, and executes project in compliance with
contract documents, project estimate, and approved execution plan - Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents in Studio360 through usage of Schneider Electric project
management tools - Accountable for documentation of projects, including but not limited to RFI's, meeting minutes, punch list, transmittal logs, submittal logs, change order logs and issues logs]
- Prepares project revenue forecasts, schedules of values, and billings
- Works to maximize GM improvement on all projects by leveraging labor efficiencies, outsourcing or overseas labor, and
purchasing to reduce costs - Prepares and updates project schedule and cost to complete estimates 12
Coordinates all change order review and pricing activity, including responsibility for estimating and proposal creation - Prepares and delivers final project documentation to the customer and collect payment
- Ability to prepare written recovery plans for non performing projects
- QA/QC for project documentation and CPP.b requirements.
- Project turnover to service and customer. Participate in basic field startup using standard start up and checkout processes
- Four (4) year engineering/technical degree or equivalent work experience
