Schneider Electric is looking for a Building Automation and HVAC Account Manager/Inside Sales for their West Chester office .
As you will be promoting the sale of solution-based HVAC and Controls Service projects to Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional customers. The successful individual will be responsible for working with new and existing clients to identify, promote and quote projects that reduce energy consumption, improve operational reliability, and extend or replace the assets of customers HVAC equipment. Responsible for the development of tactical business plans that identify and capitalize on local business opportunities in the market. This position should develop into the Sales Manager role.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of commercial HVAC systems and building controls and should have a demonstrated track record identifying viable markets, and closing deals for commercial, industrial, and institutional accounts. The successful candidate must be highly motivated with a passion for relationship building and gaining new business opportunities.
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and requirements, then preparing proposals that meet their requirements.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of costs associated with owning, operating, and maintaining a building's HVAC system and utilizes this knowledge to review those costs with prospects in the marketplace.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline. Provide accurate periodic sales forecasts as requested.
- Create proposals to meet clients' needs, often working with staff engineers to design custom solutions that meet building and business needs.
- Recommend energy efficient products, such as Building Automation Systems, high efficient HVAC equipment, and or renewable energy products that can reduce clients' operating costs while meeting the agreed to solution.
- Consulting with clients throughout the purchasing process, from initial consultation to final installation.
- Creating proposals for new projects or services, HVAC equipment and system upgrades and replacements.
- Develop solutions to meet clients' needs.
- Prepare and conduct sales presentations to customers.
- Ensures that customer projects comply with appropriate utility program requirements to qualify for program incentives or rebates. Enters data generated by assessments into appropriate databases.
- Develop additional technical and sales skills through on-going training and education.
- Conduct post-sale follow-ups with customers to ensure all sales agreements have been accomplished and customers are satisfied with all aspects of the transaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of related employment experience
- College degree or advanced education preferred
- Advanced knowledge of the HVAC & Building Automation industry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Capacity to leverage communication/interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationships
