BMS Software Engineer (Centre of Excellence)

Role Title: BMS Software Engineer (Centre of Excellence)

Mission

As a key member of our Global Engineering Centre of Excellence team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development of standardised BMS applications software for our portfolio of Data Centre and Life Sciences (pharmaceutical) projects. The role requires the efficient and effective delivery of projects to ensure customer requirements are met, while maximising of customer satisfaction, repeat sales and project margin improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop application standards using EcoStruxure Building Operation Function Block and/or Scripting languages.
  • Review functional specifications, plans and scope of work to design the system, incorporating best practices and using recognised Industry standards (e.g. CIBSE) wherever possible.
  • To document & test all application standards and adhere to our software qualification process.
  • To work to existing procedures and standards and assist in setting and establishing new improved operating procedures.
  • Communicate at all times as necessary with the Customer, inter-company departments and staff to ensure that the daily tasks are completed in accordance with the requirement, and customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Contribute to the development & continuous improvement of customer engineering standards

Skills and Attributes

The core requirement for the role will be to have proven experience in the development of BMS applications/software (preferably > 5 years) in Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building Operation is essential.

Life Sciences (pharmaceutical) and/or Data Centres or similar mission critical market segments experience is highly desirable for this role.

Extensive technical knowledge of integrating 3 rd party systems into BMS/EMS is required, particularly via Modbus.

The role needs to operate on a truly international basis, working with global projects & high levels of co-ordination with teams from multiple countries - excellent communication skills will be required.

Ability to manage multiple projects/time constrained deliverables through strong planning and reprioritisation where required.

A high degree of collaboration, proactivity & agility are key attributes for the role, to ensure we successfully deliver the highest levels of quality & customer satisfaction, in what is a very fast paced & dynamic environment.

Qualifications

You will be educated to HNC or equivalent in EIectrical/Electronic Engineering
