Job Title: BMS Project Engineer

Mission : The position requires a proactive customer driven approach, demonstrating full ownership and responsibility for producing an overall Project Solution, helping to implement and complete projects with the required levels of customer satisfaction and the Schneider Project Team. The role involves managing, engineering, planning and resourcing multiple design projects within the End User Projects Team. The role requires close working with the Operations Manager, Project Managers and the Engineering Manager of the Region and brings the opportunity to progress within the Projects Team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure you operate and design with the safety of your work force always being the first concern and focus. Use and promote the expected level of use and control of documents and tools to ensure everyone work in the safest of environments and take responsibility for their own and others safety. Help identify areas knowledge that may need to be filled to ensure safety level do not fall.
  • Design and help to deliver multiple projects but ensure you have financial understanding of the projects including procurement, invoice approval, assist with variation handling, final account agreement, monthly cost to complete reviews. Close liaison with the Project Manager Team, Operations Manager and Commercial team
  • Ensure that you help to define and understand project goals, objectives and performance measures to ensure they are met or exceeded to provide the highest level
  • Carry out or be responsible for engineering design of BMS and integrated projects, I/O schedules, description of operation, control panel design approval, plant schematics, H & S documentation, O & M documentation to our expected levels of Quality and maintain the required levels to ensure we maintain the required ISO Standards.
  • Help to Support, coach and mentor projects team through the successful delivery of projects. Identify specific project issues and help to produce proactive plans in place to resolve any knowledge or skill gaps effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Take a proactive approach to gaining all information required to progress our works. When required and part of your personal Development plan attend site meetings with the customer, contractor, subcontractor, consultant as appropriate

Skills and attributes:
  • experience in BMS projects or equivalent industry
  • A data centre back round would be beneficial
  • Knowledge and experience of SE products preferred but not 100% essential
  • PLC knowledge would be advantageous but not essential

Education
  • HND/HNC, degree in engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
