For our Industrial Automation Business Unit, we are looking for a Bid Manager/ Tender Engineer to join our team based in Aartselaar (Antwerp region). As a Tender Engineer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing RFQs of varying complexity and optimizing project setup. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating multiple bid teams, within the dynamic field of Process Automation. If you are passionate about driving excellence in tendering processes and possess a strong background in project management & engineering, we would love to hear from you.
What is your role?
- Lead and manage end-to-end opportunity, overseeing the overall bid submission process (both technical and commercial aspects).
- Support the development of win strategies and value propositions for assigned opportunities.
- Prepare technical and commercial content, including system architectures, Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering estimates, technical and commercial clarifications, and deviations.
- Collaborate with supply chain to coordinate requests to third-party suppliers and ensure timely follow-up.
- Manage proposal schedules and allocate responsibilities to the bid team, adhering to Tender governance procedures to keep the bid team on track throughout the process.
- Oversee the Risk Management Process and provide support for the Commercial Review Process (Contracts & Approvals) to prepare and submit tenders, including engaging with contracts and legal teams.
- Facilitate technical reviews in alignment with customer expectations of solution offering.
- Support the sales team and ensure alignment of the offer price with the solution's value proposition.
- Ensure adherence to approval procedures in accordance with the valid Delegation of Authority.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders to customers.
- Provide support for customer meetings as needed.

What is your profile?
- 3-10 years of experience in a Tendering role, along with expertise in another engineering specialization.
- Fluent in Dutch & English is required (French is a nice to have).
- Holding a master's or a bachelor's degree.
- Affinities with project management, engineering, technical subjects.
- Knowledge of the automation products & solutions portfolio.
- Understands commercial contracts, overall industry market dynamics, competitive challenges.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, able to work under pressure and to provide constructive solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio.
