Schneider Electric is searching for a Project Engineer specializing in Building Automation System (BAS) to make an impact within our organization .
This position will sit within our Digital Buildings organization based in Dallas. In this role you will be responsible for project coordination, safety, software checkout, commissioning, and software troubleshooting. Additionally, you will ensure that daily activities on site for projects are completed.

As a BAS Project Engineer , a typical day for you might include:
- Ensur ing all design engineer activity is aligned with latest conformed construction documents prior to installation.
- Modifying and updat ing design drawings and maintain ing red line documents .
- Collaborat ing with project manager and procurement personnel on purchasing activity and monitor ing budget risks .
- Ensur ing materials are being delivered to site or subcontractors for installation.
- Validat ing hardware and project installation meet design requirements .
- Diagnos ing communication problems, troubleshooting, and track ing software and hardware issues .
- Participat ing in field quality control or safety audits and review ing analysis and results .
- Coordinat ing with on-site contractors for the installation of equipment based on shop drawings.
- Act ing as primary point of contact for subcontractors during installation phase .
- Coordinat ing and address ing issues during installation phase independently .
- Collaborat ing with the Project Manager to coordinate projects through the installation phase and p rovide feedback for manpower requirements .
- Contribut ing to a complete operation to service turnover process.
- Responsib ility for overall system functionality/performance.
- Setup of outside ISP connections and remote connectivity to customer sites
And on some days, you may :
- Re-commission ing devices, equipment, and software as required .
- Assist the PM in material procurement .
- Ensure installation tracking sheets are updated regularly.
- Prepare customer-training manuals and provide customized training.
This may be the next step in your career journey if you have:
- 4 + years' experience as a Systems Application Engineer with related industry knowledge,
- D emonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades.
- E xperience with HVAC and security installations .
- P roficien cy in all types of building systems and application of our technology.
- Proven experience coordinati ng project team activities on site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers.
