We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant / Junior Buyer to join our dynamic team. This role will involve supporting the procurement process and assisting with purchasing activities to ensure the efficient acquisition of goods. Your mission also includes partially a variety of administrative and support tasks aimed at helping executives manage their responsibilities.
Mission Description
Within the U.E Line of Business (Universal Enclosure) and serving 3 factories and 2 Distribution centers, you will join a multicultural purchasing team of 10 people based in Europe, responsible for up to 100 million Euro of Cost of goods.
You will oversee assisting the buyers in managing their supplier portfolio, particularly:

- Assist Commodity Buyers in managing their supplier portfolio, including:
- Preparing and launching Requests for Quotation (RFQs) in collaboration with buyers.
- Collecting technical, quality, and logistics requirements (drawings, specifications, volumes, parameters).
- Monitoring the RFQ process to ensure timely submission of offers.
- Analyzing and aligning technical and economic conditions of offers for decision-making.
- Utilizing purchasing IT Tools.
- Lead deployment of Schneider Procurement IT tools.
- Support buyers in preparing for end-year negotiations:
- Extract and analyze purchasing economic data.
- Pre-analyze trends and provide recommendations.
- Assist the Top Management of our organization by helping to organize team activities:
- Coordinate meetings, business trips, and other administrative tasks.
Environment
Procurement assistant / junior Buyer 80% - and 20% Executive Assistant. Few businesses trip (maximum
4 per year)
Profile
Master degree in Purchasing with 1 years' experience in Purchasing department.
Or Engineering degree
Fluent in English.
French nice to have.
Ok also for none experience.
Required Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) skills.
- Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ambition to become a Senior Buyer
- Fluent in English
- Nice to have fluent in French.
- Business knowledge and trade-off (Service Vs cost, Total Cost of Ownership)
- Capacity for analysis and synthesis
- Good Analytical skills with good knowledge on Excel
- Able to identify and manage priorities.
