Position for Guadalajara, Jalisco
We are currently seeking for an Automation & Controls Engineer to support the Contract Manufacturing (Virtual Factory) organization. The role will be responsible for overseeing Schneider equipment in External Manufacturing facilities. The role covers everything for sub-assembly or final assembly automation equipment from concept through development with a fully qualified process acceptance into Operations. Up to 50% travel within North America may be expected. The position will be based in Guadalajara, Mx and will report to the Contract Manufacturing organization and dotted line to the Advance Manufacturing organization.
What will you do:
• Create assembly line architecture and specifications.

• Create automated equipment/machine specifications.
• Work with external suppliers to design and deploy assembly lines, including automated equipment.
• Interpret mechanical design drawings for electrical controls requirements (Creo)
• Develop PLC and HMI programs for automated equipment.
• Integrate machines and assembly lines into MIS and plants' digital manufacturing execution systems.
• Plan and provide detailed training on equipment design, maintenance and troubleshooting to various customer skill.
• Support of existing equipment designs, and production issues will be required both locally and at various sites globally.
• Maintain up to date knowledge of equipment technologies and utilizes this knowledge to specify and develop innovative solutions.
• Utilize continuous improvement methodology to improve internal industrial processes.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university is required.
- 5+ years' experience in assembly line design and deployment, automation industry or high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Projects developement in LabView in the industry
- Project developement with PLC
- Experience in troubleshooting failures
- Interpretation of electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
