The Sustainability Business (SB) is a newly created global division with the mission to bring all Schneider acts together to provide unprecedent, end-to-end support to our customers to achieve their sustainable transformations - from formulating climate strategy to execution & deployment of sustainability offers. The mission of this role is to establish & grow Schneider Electric Sustainability Consulting Services, generating new consulting service revenues and maximize "pull-through" for Sustainability Business LOBs and the rest of Schneider's portfolio globally.

What do you get to do in this position?

  • Market strategy: based on insights into client organizations and deep understanding of the Sustainably consulting / advisory landscape, formulate a holistic strategy and plan for how to build out the Sustainability Business in the market
  • Lead generation: promote the Sustainability Business and develop new business relationship and maintain existing ones with C-level / end user customers
  • Pitching & winning drive pitching process and deal closing for case work - prepare pitching materials, serve as single point of contact, contract drafting, project staffing, etc.
  • Project management (future state): lead a team of consultants to advise client on their climate strategy - from carbon baselining and onsite audits, external benchmark studies, goal setting and roadmap planning to the implementation of renewable energy transactions, sustainability managed services and enterprise efficiency services - be the key interface with client during case work, provide project oversight (synthesize recommendations, challenge work in progress, and re-orient analyses as necessary to drive client value), and manage project budgets
  • Collaborate to win: Collaborate with teams across the globe to leverage our expertise and facilitate follow on opportunities for all Schneider Electric lines of businesses (LoBs)
  • Network growth: Originate and grow relationships with renewable energy project developers to expand renewable energy advisory offers in-country
  • Follow Through: Work closely with other SE LoBs and local operations to follow through deployment
  • Build teams: Recruit, coach and inspire junior team members to develop their consulting and client communication skills, creating opportunities for team members to learn and grow
  • Knowledge management: Contribute to Sustainability knowledge management by working closely with Knowledge Management team to identify knowledge gaps and develop new methodologies, tools and assets

This job might be for you if:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Business or other similar disciplines
  • 10+ years of experience in Sustainability consulting / management consulting and / or a client facing role in sustainability or renewable energy-related services
  • Analytical and Conceptual thinking: able to conceptualize business problems, understand and shape customer's needs, and drive frameworks for analysis that consultants can then follow
  • Client Relationship Management: A solid track record of developing strong client relationships with C-levels of large organizations
  • Engagement Management and Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage engagements, client relationships, provide strategic directions to teams, and ultimately be responsible for the quality of engagements. This individual will supervise junior consultants as engagements are executed, but must have the willingness to get his/her hands dirty and the ability to "do the work" as well
  • Personnel Development: demonstrated ability to guide junior members in their consulting skill sets, motivate them, and build the consulting team's foundation for future growth (both formal and ad hoc settings)
