Digital Customer Relationship (DCR) organization owns about 200 REST APIs.

The primary objective of the API Program Manager is to ensure that the DCR API Portfolio consists of 'Product'-like assets, enabling APIs to be self-service, monitored, secure, and compliant with industry standards. This approach guarantees a seamless and consistent user experience from subscription through to incident resolution.

There are two categories of APIs in the program: internal APIs and customer-facing APIs, the latest being consumed directly by Schneider Electric distributors and representing critical assets for e-commerce activity expansion and positive externalities.

This scope eventually embraces EDI & Event-based interfaces that are completing the integration picture, governed by abstract principles (subscription, design, performance).

What will you do?

• Developing an integration vision for DCR across multiples paradigms & integration patterns (REST-APIs, Event-based, EDIs, Files).

• Creating the API management strategy, including the market positioning of the Customer-Facing APIs (APIs exposed to the customers), monetization & benchmarking.

• Aligning the APIs with EDI s trategy (representing 3+ billions revenue).

• Maintaining and develop a network of API champions across the globe (Asia, NAM, Brazil, EMEA).

• Monitoring and improving the API quality.

• Being a "center of excellence" and taking decisions on further API enhancements, analyze the market demands and promote innovative ideas.

• Lead & coordinate teams contributing to service exposure and reach Product maturity for each API ( https://nordicapis.com/wp-content/uploads/API-as-a-Product-v2.1.pdf ).

• Working with Executive Level on correlating API metrics into business KPIs.

• Creating & Improving the governance processes for the APIs.

• Working closely with Enterprise Architecture (Enterprise Integration stream) to improve API practices & tooling in Schneider Electric globally.

• Working closely with Data Architecture team to carry out data lineage.

• Promoting & maintaining a data model referential for Open API Specifications, Events definition.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

• 10+ years in Digital.

• Extensive knowledge of Integration patterns (API / Event / File based).

• Good knowledge of ecommerce & data management.

• Good project management skills.

• Digital strategy thinking.

• Strong analytical & business-oriented skills, ability to look at technology from the business goals perspective and vice-versa.

• Educational and comfortable with Layman's terms.

• Bridging the game between marketing & technical teams.

• Ability to effectively work in multi-cultural environment.
