Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Engineer with a strong background in data analysis, wireless protocols, AI/ML and Azure and AWS AI technologies preferably within the commercial buildings' domain. The ideal candidate will have experience in IOT products, cybersecurity, MLOps, LLM Ops and model evaluation with strong programming skills in Python (C# and .NET are a plus). Familiarity with models like Claude and ChatGPT is a big plus. This role will also be leading AI solution design and implementation, managing the lifecycle of large language models, and optimizing model performance and prompts. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and interpret complex data sets related to commercial buildings, focusing on energy usage, system performance, and occupancy patterns.

• Develop and implement either of advanced machine learning, deep learning or GenAI models to optimize building operations and enhance predictive maintenance.

• Evaluate the performance of various machine learning models using appropriate metrics and statistical tests. Make recommendations on which models to use based on their performance.

• Design and maintain scalable cloud-based data architectures to support data pipelines, data analysis and machine learning processes.

• Conduct large-scale data wrangling, cleansing, and processing to prepare data for analysis and model development.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IoT solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and protocols.

• Ensure data security and privacy by implementing robust cybersecurity measures in accordance with industry standards.

• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML, IoT, wireless protocols, and cybersecurity to continuously improve our solutions.

• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through clear and concise reports, visualizations, and presentations.

Requirements:
  • 7-10 years of overall experience in software engineering

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, deep learning and statistical modelling.

• Proficiency in cloud architecture, with experience in platforms such as AWS, Azure (data bricks, ML flow are appreciated), or Google Cloud.

• Advanced skills in programming languages such as Python and experience with data processing library (e.g., numpy, pandas, tensorflow, sklearn, pytorch, etc.)

• Hands on experience in the commercial buildings domain, with a strong understanding of building management systems (BMS) and energy management.

• Hands on experience with IoT technologies and platforms, including device management, data collection, and edge computing.

• Good to have knowledge of wireless protocols (e.g., Zigbee, LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi, BLE) and their applications in commercial buildings.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for protecting data and systems in an IoT environment.

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to a diverse set of audiences.
  • Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Willingness to work outside documented job description. Has a "whatever is needed" attitude.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science Engineering, or a related field.
  • • Experience with commercial building simulation tools and software.
  • • Cer tifications in data science, cloud architecture, and cybersecurity
  • Precedent experience in Gen-AI projects and applications
