Responsibilities:

As a 2nd Shift Team Lead, you will:
  • Non-Hierarchical Animation of Teams: Be responsible for the performance of one or several processes by effectively leading and coordinating teams.
  • Resource Alignment: Align resources with short-term needs, execute necessary trainings for successful standardized work execution, and manage short interval management at the line/process level.
  • Continuous Improvement: Act as a strong contributor to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety rules, including reporting and managing incidents and near misses.
  • Quality Control: Ensure proper application of the Process Quality Control Plan.
  • Training Validation: Validate training levels for operators.
  • Staff Adjustments: Make real-time adjustments to staff based on operational needs.
  • Productivity Goals: Drive actions to achieve service level, quality products, and work-in-progress (WIP) targets.
  • Support Function Coordination: Synchronize support function actors for short-term actions.
  • Escalation Process: Escalate any disruptions occurring during the shift according to the escalation process.
  • Short Interval Cycle Leadership: Lead level 1 short interval cycles according to lean manufacturing rules, ensuring the quality of information provided to the Supervisor for level 2 short interval cycles.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Quality improvement tools, techniques & models
  • Performance management tools
  • 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
