he Sr. Associate, Market Risk will assist the Interest Rate Risk (IRR) team in managing recurring analytical processes while using the Financial Risk tool, QRM. The Sr. Associate will oversee the analysis required to establish annual Limits for IRR metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a quarterly Dynamic NII and Future Market Value process. Analyze the results and maintain procedures that describe the process.
  • Conduct the annual IRR Limit-setting process for SHUSA and its subsidiaries.
  • Liaise with FP&A in understanding Strategic Planning and how their processes could be used to assist the IRR team.
  • Conduct ad-hoc IRR analysis as they arise.
  • Assist in the monthly IRR metric calculation process as required.
  • Maintain the Material Risk Review program.
  • Documents all changes to Monthly and Quarterly Procedures.
  • Work with headquarters and subsidiaries to make sure compliance in procedures and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Finance or a Mathematical field with Financial work experience desired.
  • 7-10 years of experience in Market Risk / Interest Rate Risk / Asset Liability Management within the financial services industry is highly desired.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial products.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience using QRM highly desired.
  • Proficiency in Excel necessary. Experience using VBA, SQL, Access desired.
  • Hands-on experience with automating processes using coding/programming languages would be a benefit.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occassional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
