Job Description:

Identifies and pursues new sales prospects within existing or untapped markets within the Santander OneCommercial client base. Gathers market intelligence, generates leads, and develops proposals/campaigns to garner new liquidity business, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenues to the company. End-to-end ownership of liquidity client opportunities from sales prospecting to deal close to ongoing relationship management.

Partners with Liquidity Product to actively manage commercial CD book. Serves as source of Liquidity product expertise to partner with Treasury Sales and Relationship Manager colleagues on complex Liquidity solutions.

Uses knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends and potential projects.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Initiates, develops and enhances relationships with senior executives at existing clients and targeted prospects, with the objective of enhancing liquidity balances and revenue generation for the Company.
  • Plans and implements a calling program designed to achieve new business and revenue growth targets in conjunction with Relationship Managers.
  • Develops calling programs, prepares proposals, finalizes sales, and oversees the implementation of services.
  • Formulates client retention strategies for the portfolio revenue base and acts in a consultative capacity to cross-sell additional services.
  • Identifies prospects and clients requiring Liquidity solutions including Non-interest and Interest-bearing accounts, Escrow, Commercial CDs, Insured Cash Sweep and Money Markets.
  • Utilize resources like RelPro, Salesforce, CapitalIQ, LexNex, Pitchdeck etc. to diligently create targeted prospects and prepare for sales calls.
  • Actively pursue all cross-sell opportunities with clients and prospects
  • Drive market engagement by partnering with RMs and TSOs on client facing activity related to liquidity and investments.
  • Provide timely response to all internal & external inquiries by email, phone or in person meetings with relevant market information and product strategies/solutions.
  • Partner with Liquidity Product to actively manage commercial CD portfolio.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business or equivalent field. (Req)
Master's Degree in Business or equivalent field. (Pref)

Work Experience:
5+ years of Business Development, Treasury Sales, Liquidity Product Specialist Management, or related experience

Skills and Abilities:
Self-motivated and adept at setting, driving and leading a team to execute pipeline growth success.
Very strong interpersonal communication skills, complemented by both excellent verbal and written communication.
Expert presentation and public speaking skills.
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational skills and detail orientation, as well as analytical skills.
Demonstrated complex contact negotiation/creation skills.
Ability to work remotely and independently.
Ability to influence and drive complex initiatives and manage logistics with internal stakeholders.
Ability to travel within assigned territory as required.

Working Conditions:

Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.
