Summary of Responsibilities:
This position is for a 10-week Summer Internship. The Retail Banking and Transformation Summer Intern will support our National Banking within Retail and Banking Transformation, focused on improving the digital experience for banking customers.
You will be joining Openbank, which promises to be an exciting and unique experience. You will be a part of the team that helped launch one of the newest digital banks in the U.S. market, backed by Banco Santander, one of the largest retail banks in Europe and Latin America.
You will leave this experience with the groundwork to work in digital transformation and financial technology, along with an understanding of how to successfully work in a widely diverse global company.

Essential Functions:
The intern will support a Digital Product Manager in all functions listed below:
- Support of customer journey definitions and evaluation of current journeys to make recommendations for future Customer experience improvements
- Support on documentation and writing of business requirements, including building epics and user stories in Jira
- Support with ongoing stakeholder relationships, including Subject Matter Experts in Legal, Compliance, and Risks.
- Support to guarantee the quality of work built by development teams, helping the product team to test the new functionalities
- Support on analyzing user and application data to identify potential friction points and creating recommendations to improve conversion rates
- Support facilitating agile process across product and development teams
Requirements:
- A undergraduate or graduate student with an expected graduation date between December 2025 - June 2026
- Preferred area of study includes Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Research, Economics, Psychology, Marketing, or related field
- Verbal presentation skills, with the ability to walk stakeholders through processes and concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Experience in financial services and knowledge of financial services industry, products and solutions is preferred but not required.
- Interested in Digital Transformation in Finance
- A cumulative GPA or 3.0 or above
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced market environment
- Solid professional and personal work ethic
- Ability to work independently on special projects

Working Conditions:
- Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
- Travel to multiple facilities may be required.
- May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
- May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
- May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
- Corporate / satellite office role.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
Undergraduate: $62,400 - $62,400/year
Graduate: $83,200-$83,200/year
