Summary of Responsibilities:
This position is for a 10-week Summer Internship. The Dealer Commercial Services Intern will support our dealership Floorplan and Commercial Lending teams within Santander Bank.
This 2025 Summer Internship is for undergraduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and May 2026.

The intern will support Dealer Commercial Services (DCS) with projects such as:
- Selection into the DCS internship program includes exposure the following teams:
- Relationship officer: Work with a relationship officer to onboard our clients by ordering due diligence, Know Your Customer Questionnaire, monitor dealer transactions, assess quality control, risk level/rating. Guide the Business Development Manager through the intake process for collecting a complete Floorplan underwriting package from dealership customers.
- Underwriting: Work with tenured underwriters to underwrite loan packages, review credit agreements for terms and conditions, gather statements, adjust credit lines, review structure, submit packages for approval, identify red flags, conduct financial analysis on entities and collateral.
- Portfolio Management: Learn how PMs manage account relationships, monitor dealer performance, reconcile floorplan audits, prepare modifications, use the PM tool, present to approval committees, etc.
- Commercial Operations: Work with Ops team to assist in onboarding, payoffs, curtailments, interest calculations, interest charges, statements, reconcilements, and document handling.
- MIS/Reporting: Learn about different reports and why reporting is necessary for the business. Sit with MIS team as reports and data are created and distributed. In addition, you can expect to learn about nCino.
- Exposure to DCS Business Management and Strategies
- Involvement in process improvement project in DCS add nCino
- Help with integration into additional new systems and technologies
- Other ongoing projects over course of internship
Requirements:
- An undergraduate student with an expected graduation date between Fall 2025 - Spring 2026
- Major in Business or related field
- A cumulative GPA or 3.0 or above
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
- Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced market environment
- Solid professional and personal work ethic
- Ability to work independently on special projects
- Familiarity with data analytics a plus
- Ability to work in an environment that supports employees from all backgrounds and fosters an environment of inclusion.
Working Conditions:
- Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs.
- Travel to multiple facilities may be required.
- May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds.
- May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time.
- May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard.
- Corporate / satellite office role.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. Occasional moving and lifting equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown. Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
$67,600 - $67,600/year
