As the Functional Expert - Workday Security, you will play a pivotal role in the design and governance of Workday security frameworks. You will collaborate closely with the Workday HCM Functional Lead to establish and oversee security protocols, ensuring that access rights are administered effectively while maintaining compliance with audit and control processes. Your expertise will be crucial in managing our security architecture and safeguarding sensitive data.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design & Governance:Collaborate with the Workday HCM Functional Lead to design, implement, and govern security roles and permissions within the Workday system.
  • Access Rights Oversight:Provide oversight for the routine administration of access rights, ensuring that the Data Operations Team adheres to established protocols and audit controls.
  • Data Classification:Understand and articulate the data classification and domain model for Workday's core architecture to ensure proper management and security of data.
  • Security Configuration:Lead the design and configuration of advanced role-based intersection security in Workday, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and best practices.
  • Audit & Compliance:Support the People Services team in the conduct of regular audits of security settings and access rights, with the objective of mitigating risk, driving efficiency and aligning roles to Workday to the company's target operating model.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with HR, IT, CoE's across the People & Culture function and other stakeholders to address security-related inquiries in Workday and related systems, and enhance user understanding of security protocols.
  • Continuous Improvement:Stay updated on Workday security enhancements and best practices, recommending improvements to security processes and configurations
About You
  • Education:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Certification:Workday Security Pro certification is required.
  • Experience:Proven experience in designing and configuring advanced role-based intersection security within Workday, with a track record of successful implementations.
  • Technical Skills:Strong understanding of Workday's architecture, security model, and data classification standards.
  • Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze complex security issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaboration:Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively across teams.
