This role is fully remote anywhere in the United States with some travel required. This will primarily be a remote sales position.

  • A Vaccine Account Specialist (VAS) develops and manages strategic partnerships with his/her complex customers.
  • The VAS should understand and anticipate business needs and support customer needs through commercial offers, business solutions, and other marketing/brand strategic initiatives.

  • The VAS is responsible for achieving/exceeding sales and marketing objectives within complex customers, such as Long-Term Care Centers, Closed-door pharmacies, Employers, Occupational Health Companies, Urgent Cares, Community Immunization Providers, Travel Health Providers, and Health Systems.
  • This position utilizes proactive business analysis, marketing insights, and customer knowledge/observations to provide insights and support solutions development to drive sales and create strong relationships.
  • The VAS will be responsible for acquiring and maintaining expertise in segment strategy and tactics and executing via the selling model.
  • This position will partner with key internal stakeholders, specifically operations, contracting, marketing and Sanofi brand teams.

  • Key Accountability:
    • Sales Performance
    • Achieve financial/quota goals within assigned segments
    • Achieve marketing and sales objectives (MSOs) for assigned customer segments
    • Execute a comprehensive customer engagement strategy via a combination of phone, multimedia, and in person account sales calls

    Sales Execution & Implementation
    • Execute appropriate sales model and solutions strategy during customer interactions (in person or remote)
    • Effectively implement solutions, contract pull-through and other appropriate segment strategies/tactics in support of achieving sales goals
    • Develop and maintain territory forecasting models/business plans that are aligned with VaxServe goals
    • Create efficient and effective territory coverage plans for assigned customers and key contact types while consistently meeting customer engagement metrics/goals
    • Execute sales operational duties (e.g. recording call activity) and provide operational assistance/support to Account Managers & Sales Directors
    • Effectively utilize customer and market data sources (e.g. DDD, contract performance, purchasing methods) to identify trends, create insights to drive sales, & develop sales forecasts

    Customer Knowledge & Market Insights
    • Assess customer immunization practices and progression towards achievement of VaxServe
    • strategy
    • Understand, document and continuously evaluate the decision making process for customers
    • and key contacts within assigned segments and account targets
    • Apply customer knowledge and market insights to VAS Best Practices

    Collaboration & Communication
    • Participate in collaborative selling through proactive communication, account targeting initiatives/selection, and sharing of customer and market insights
    • Collaborate effectively with peers, stakeholders, and business partners across the organization to positively impact business results (e.g. Sales, Mktg, Ops, Analytics, Finance, Pasteur)
    • Proactive and routine communication of customer and market observations (written/verbal) in line with all corporate guidelines

    Compliance
    • Maintain all compliance standards and complete all trainings
    Education/Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Requires minimum 1 - 3 years in sales role with pharmaceutical or vaccine industry
    • Previous vaccine sales, industry or account management experience preferred.
    • Experience working with complex/organized customers is preferred.
    • Strong foundation in business analysis, contract / pricing models
    • Experience selling to multiple customer segments and engaging with various different decision makers
    • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills (both written and oral)

    The salary range for this position is $100,500.00 - 134,000.00. In addition to sales incentive (role may my eligible for long term incentive depending on level andperformance); all compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.     This position is eligible for a company car through the Company's FLEET program.

    Candidates must complete all fleet safety training and must maintain an acceptable driving record regarding accidents and incidents.
