Would you like to lead the Medical Affairs function for one of Sanofi's key therapy areas? We have several key launches coming up and you could be the person to take on this exciting opportunity to lead a great team. The Therapy Area Medical Head will provide strategic leadership, will co-create and drive the overarching therapy area strategy to ensure the appropriate use of Sanofi medicines in the UK and Ireland. This is a key strategic business partner to the organisation and will ensure innovation and digital enablement are core to the deliverables.

Main responsibilities:
- Lead the high calibre Medical Affairs team to foster a culture of positive collaboration, influencing across networks and deliver to all stakeholders across the franchise
- Drive implementation of innovation and digital capabilities as a core focus and RWE generation to assist prioritising data for HTA submission and post MA studies
- Be the leader across UKIE and above country with a solution orientated approach
- Lead development or proactive relationships across the UK healthcare environment and part of a co-ordinated stakeholder plan. Work collaboratively with patient advocacy to ensure patient centricity and with National bodies, guideline committees, patient and policy organisations
- Internal interactions - Work with the commercial franchise heads on the franchise plan, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and be accountable for medically lead activities. Close working with Medical Information, PV, Regulatory Affair and regional/global affiliates for best practice and gain approval for medical TA project
- People leadership - driving the Sanofi Play to Win behaviours, developing people through efficient coaching and driving motivated and fully engaged teams
About you
- UK registered MBBS, MPharm is preferred with current ABPI signatory status
- Significant pharmaceutical industry experience covering leadership of a broad set of medical activities, including clinical trials, medical affairs and external engagement
- Ability to lead, manage and develop teams
- Preferred knowledge of specific products and related therapeutics areas, including Key Opinion Leaders
- Knowledge of the structure and management of the NHS and it's evolution
