The position is directly reporting to R&D India Hub head and to work closely with global statistics leaders. It is to provide leadership and guidance to multiple statistics teams which cover both non-clinical and clinical development and multiple therapeutic areas.

Accountable for development of biostatistical resources and expertise to fulfill both local and global tasks. Foster team development and ensure satisfactory performance and project delivery. Represent biostatistics in Hub management and transversal activities.

Major Responsibilities
  • Represent biostatistics to participate Hub management meetings and lead key cross function initiatives.
  • Support Hub Head on transversal activities within and across Hubs, interfacing with other functions (e.g., collaborate with data management and statistical programming to enhance the synergy; participate cross-function working groups for process development and optimization)
  • Responsible for site resource planning in alignment with biostatistics TA Heads; Plan and track project activities, timelines, and resource use;Provide justification for planned resource needs.
  • Direct/oversee statistical support of the team; Create a productive work environment; Ensure team compliance with SOPs and function standards; Promote teamwork, quality, operational efficiency, and innovation.
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding and development plan for the biostatistics team.
  • Define training plans and coordinate the continuous trainings for junior staff in alignment with TA Heads.
  • Define team priorities and goals, conduct performance review and assist in problem solving and corrective measures.

About you
  • Experience: People management experience of at least 3 years.
  • Strong project management, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills in oral/written English.
  • Proven successful experience in clinical development and/or post-marketing activities such as submissions, interactions with regulatory agencies or other external stakeholders etc.
  • Broad knowledge of pharmaceutical clinical development and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques.
  • Broad experiences in the relevant therapeutic area desired.
  • Soft and technical skills: Excellent R/SAS programming skills.
  • Education: PhD/MS in Statistics or related discipline with at least 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in an English
