Your role will be pivotal in driving consumer-centric strategies across brand foundations, communications, innovation, and brand health. You will be responsible for crafting and driving primary research in conjunction with external partners, synthesizing and reporting key research findings, and making recommendations to support business strategies and decision making that drive brand growth.

Main responsibilities:
As the social and market insights lead working for Opella North America, you will be an integral member of the Insights team supporting the brand portfolio by understanding the competitive landscape, social and cultural trends and the consumer healthcare marketplace to identify future growth opportunities and inspire activation across the business. You will act as a strategic advisor, collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating insights from competitor and social insights analyses into actionable recommendations to identify market opportunities and improve the organization's competitive position. You will also harness macro and cultural consumer trends connecting them to the business to drive consumer centricity. You will embrace an agile mindset and stay updated on industry best practices and methodologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of market intelligence. This role reports into the Director of Market & Shopper Insights at Opella NA.
- Drive Competitive Intelligence: Analyze industry and consumer trends, market dynamics, and competitive activities to provide strategic recommendations for business growth, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product development, and sales) to integrate market and social insights into business strategies, product development, and go-to market plans.
- Social Insights & Digital Leadership: Develop social insights learning agenda for NA, embed and promote usage of social insights across the business, and manage social insights platforms (e.g., ratings and reviews, social listening). Partner with Global Insights team to develop best practices in social insights.
- Drive Consumer-Centric Focus: Advocate for a consumer-first mindset across the organization. Develop and maintain social insights and market intelligence reports, presentations as well as creative ways (e.g., newsletters, workshops, etc.) to infuse external learnings and cross category insights throughout the organization. Co-lead quarterly Voice of the Consumer presentations by delivering social insights from ratings and reviews and social listening to cross-functional partners.
- Strategic Foresight & Best Practices:Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within market research and social insights to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Efficient Research Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key business questions and develop consumer learning plans. Manage high-quality, cost-effective custom primary research, and synthesize data across multiple sources into actionable insights.
About you
- 7+ Years Experience in Insights & Analytics: Proven background in consumer healthcare, FMCG, beauty/luxury, technology, or similar sectors.
- Social Insights Expertise: Strong knowledge of social insights platforms such as ratings and reviews (e.g., Yogi, Brandwatch, Bazaarvoice) and social listening (e.g., Talkwalker, Meltwater, Brandwatch). Familiarity with Yogi and/or Talkwalker platforms is preferred.
- Strategic Insight Synthesis: Strong ability to synthesize diverse research sources into actionable insights that inform organizational decision-making and drive business growth.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Skilled in conveying insights and recommendations to senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions with clarity and impact.
- Business Acumen: Expertise in translating complex data into compelling narratives tailored to various audiences, combining strategic insights with business acumen.
- Proactive & Collaborative Mindset: Focused on driving strategic outcomes through influence, collaboration, and organizational savvy, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Consumer Insights Expertise: Up-to-date knowledge of market trends, consumer behavior, and best practices in market research, and social/market intelligence.
- Global & Digital Fluency: Comfortable working in diverse, multicultural environments and familiar with digital-first brand-building strategies, including brand positioning, creative development, and innovation.
