The Genomic Medicine Unit Next Generation Sequencing group, within BioAnalytics CMC in Waltham MA, is seeking a motivated Bioinformatics Co-op to support genomic analyses of multiple therapeutic modalities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support computational needs for the development and validation of NGS-based assays including the composition of custom code.
  • Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers to implement genomic analytical solutions for programs spanning precandidate selection through commercialization.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain NGS analysis pipelines for execution in cloud-based computational environments.
  • Keep records of development work and testing in a GxP environment utilizing electronic notebook solutions.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 2026
  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi.
  • Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40 hrs./week for the full duration of the Co-op
  • Must have permanent US work authorization
  • Scripting experience in coding languages (e.g., bash, awk, Python, R, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and adapt under changing timelines.
  • Proven experience working across functions

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with scripting environments or paradigms (i.e., Git)
  • Knowledge of/ experience with cloud-based computational environments.
  • Knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques (e.g., ligation, PCR, and qPCR).
