The mission of the role is being Ambassador of a new Performance culture and make the change happen by engaging the Site/Function Leadership Team. Accountability is to kick-off and lead the on-going waves of transformation (Sanofi Manufacturing Systems SMS2.0, Connected Smart Factory/Digital, Boosters) at the assigned site/function, and support its associated impact
- In coordination with Site Leadership, Manufacturing Excellence teams, evaluate, and elevate the need of business transformation to main stakeholders by incorporating best practice, benchmarks (Pharma Operations Benchmarking service POBOS) and site CBNs
- Drives site and functional readiness before kick-off: site project team preparation, site alignment with the standard process in order to avoid any request for modification of the standard system
- Leads roadmap for roll-out of transformation initiatives (SMS2.0, Connected Smart Factory/Digital, Boosters in alignment with overall transformation roadmaps and in accordance to expected productivity improvement
- Steer all the sites roll-out and provides a consolidated progress report (action plan & value capture) in appropriate governances (eg M&SV Manufacturing 4.0 Council, SMS2.0 steerCo,..) and if needed, act as M&SV voice in greater M&SV committees
- Is accountable for adoption of the Ecosystem and runs through maturity assessment with associated remediation plan
- Contribute to global SMS community in standards/solutions definition and improvements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the local transformation team in developing the roadmap (plan, staffing, budget)
- Ensure alignment of the roadmap with the overall targets (Site CBNs, POBOS journey)
- Lead implementation of initiatives and monitoring impact on performance
- Continuously check progress to plan & ensure accuracy of cockpit.
- Lead gap assessment and coach site in preparation of maturity assessment at vaccine level.
- Lead/run maturity assessment to other GBUs.
- Defines project/budget required per roll-out and communicate to site leaders ahead.
- Is responsible for establishing standards in terms of productivity gains expectations and as such is in charge to develop model for gains estimation in 3P.
- Coach and support site leaders ahead of new standards/solutions deployment.
- Drives competency upskilling, planning and dynamic staffing of local deployment teams.
Scope and dimensions
- Global Accountability on the manufacturing system and digital tools operating standards adoption for M&SV. Trans functional & International exposure.
- Approx 2M € budget management (over next 5years) and with 10-20 FTE in project mode.
- Some activities and/or projects will require working with diverse teams geographically and will require flexibility in working hours and travel.
About You
Education and experience:
- Bachelors Engineering, Life Science, pharmacist degree with strong experience in manufacturing operations and executing large scale strategic programs. Master's in engineering, life science, pharmacist or MBA is preferred.
- 10+ years' experience required with a bundle of Operations and Transversal responsibilities.
- Previous experience in Manufacturing, supply chain or QC activities (any of Sanofi GBUs)
- Strong exposure to GxP environment and ability to navigate across regulations applicable to manufacturing, control, release, and distribution of biological products.
- Experience in both management of operations (shopfloor) & transversal processes.
- Experience working on transformation initiatives in an industrial environment.
- Command of change management issues and methodologies at senior leadership level would be a strong plus.
- Travel required up to 50% of the time.
- Fluent in English (spoken & written)
