Job Title: Senior Scientist, Gene Therapy Immunology
Grade: L2-2
Hiring Manager: Lavesh Gwalani
Location: Waltham, MA
About the Job
Are you ready to shape the future of medicine? The race is on to speed up drug discovery and development to find answers for patients and their families. Your skills could be critical in helping our teams accelerate progress.
The Genomic Medicine Unit is seeking a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in Immunobiology for a Sr. Scientist role that will help build innovation in Gene Therapy Immunology.
Host immune response to non-viral gene therapy and adeno-associated viral vectors (AAV) is a key challenge for clinical adoption. The successful candidate will work transversally with members of various research groups including capsid engineering, large molecule research and computational biology teams to develop strategies aimed at minimizing adaptive immune responses to LNP and AAV. Working in this bench-research position, the candidate will explore the use of Sanofi's proprietary immunomodulatory molecules to dampen host immunological response to gene therapy administration. Participation will provide the candidate a tangible opportunity to contribute to development of novel genomic medicine approaches for rare diseases with unmet need.
