JOB PURPOSE
The position is about driving the strategy, engagement, and activation of external stakeholders who drive or influence the policies that determine our ability to successfully secure patient's access to medicines and vaccines by coordinating internal and external voices in order to create the perfect storm at market for the team to succeed in their business objectives.
To achieve success, it is critical that the Public Affairs Manager:
- Build a strong relationship with the government key organizations and officials and maintain high level of Commitment with Key Opinion Leaders
- Drive the policies that determine our ability to successfully secure patient's access to medicines
- Observe new & upcoming regulations from the government in general and the health authorities in particular. Support implementation of the strategy for the interactions with the authorities
- Coordinate the Sanofi activities related to projects with the relevant authorities
- Setup the dashboards to follow up ongoing activities and projects
- Recommend solutions based on the challenges Sanofi face in its activities in the country
- Analyse present insights from the healthcare environment

KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITIES
Build a strong relationship with key government officials and maintain high level of Commitment with Key Opinion Leaders
- Positive engagement with government to ensure compliance with regulations
Drive policies that determine our ability to secure patient's access to medicines
- Lead, continuously adapt and execute policy strategy to accelerate diagnosis and create the market conditions for fast and broad access to Sanofi innovative treatments.
- Develop innovative approaches and models for access and engage health authorities in thinking radically different in the management of patients
Observe new & upcoming regulations from government in general and health authorities in particular. Support implementation of the strategy for the interactions with the authorities
- Monitor upcoming regulations to prepare and comply to the new regulations
- Report the new regulations or the changes to get the support from the internal functions
- Ensure Public Affairs and business strategies align with government priorities and objectives
Coordinate activities related to Sanofi initiatives and projects with the relevant authorities
- Cooperate transversally with the internal stakeholders
Setup the dashboards to follow up ongoing activities and projects
- Involve the relevant functions in any discussion or project for better alignment and support
- Update the team about the progress and the success of projects
Recommend solutions based on the challenges Sanofi face in its activities in the country
- Develop specific tools and materials for external engagement including policy narratives and test these with policy maker to ensure strong evidence-based argumentation
- Set up advisory boards with policy experts and payers when needed and build regional coalitions with industry partners to advance therapy area policy priorities
Analyze present insights from the healthcare environment
- Analyse the changing external environment and inform the business to update and adapt the plans and strategies based on the analysis in timely manner

- Humanitarian agencies
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree; preference for a degree in pharmacy, public health, economics, biology, chemistry and business administration
- 5+ years in the pharma industry, including strategic roles in Market Access, public affairs, government affairs or policy related areas
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing, excellent interpersonal skills, good IT skills, presentation skills, shows initiative, ability to prioritise and plan effectively, strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
