Thus, as we enter the next phase, modernization of Sanofi is required as per the recent announcements on DRIVE, and in this respect, we are in the beginning stages of organizing the Go-to-Market Capabilities (GTMC) team at global level.
GTMC organization will help us to drive best-in-class capabilities across the board and bring value and excellence in our commercial operations. This move is a key part of the aimed modernization of Sanofi and will allow us to focus on our priorities across our products, market and pipeline through the reallocation of resources and realizing the efficiencies of removing silos that exist between our business units, avoiding the duplication and overlapping of resources, standardizing our processes and tools, operating with a One Sanofi approach to accelerate our key capabilities development, and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit by speeding up the decision making.

The Project Manager - Agile will oversee all pre-launch and launch activities, ensuring the efficient execution of processes and frameworks through Agile methodologies. This role is responsible for managing timelines, updating launch plans, and coordinating cross-functional teams to align with business goals. The PM will proactively track project milestones, manage risks, and continuously optimize processes to ensure successful and timely product launches.

Main responsibilities:
- Manage Pre-Launch and Launch Processes:
- Oversee and manage the execution of all pre-launch and launch activities, ensuring alignment with defined processes and frameworks.
- Monitor key milestones throughout the launch cycle and ensure timely execution of activities across cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product, regulatory)
- Project Planning and Tracking:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans that map out all pre-launch and launch activities, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on timelines and responsibilities.
- Update launch dates and critical timelines in response to market shifts or internal strategy changes, ensuring seamless coordination between teams.
- Track project progress using Agile methodologies, ensuring key deliverables are met within the established timelines. Ensure transparency and visibility of project progress, interdependencies, and bottlenecks across teams and stakeholders. Facilitate information flow and feedback loops to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure the effective implementation and execution of scrum ceremonies and coordinate with Scrum of Scrums, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives, facilitating the organic adoption of agile principles across ceremonies while avoiding the imposition of rigid frameworks or misunderstandings.
- Risk Management and Issue Resolution:
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact launch timelines or project success.
- Foster Collaboration and Alignment:
- Promote collaboration and alignment among various functions (marketing, medical, regulatory, legal, digital) and cross-functional teams; facilitate cross-functional communication and understanding.
- Foster a positive team dynamic.
- People: (1) Ensure alignment among team members and stakeholders regarding project objectives and updating the metrics periodically; (2) Frequent communication with all stakeholders, including sponsors, partners, and attendees; (3) Support team initiatives and objectives, identify and recommend process improvements and other value-added initiatives.
- Performance: (1) Effective and efficient management of assigned projects to complete projects on time and, where applicable, on budget; (2) Effective management of multiple projects in parallel.
- Process: (1) Develop strong understanding of the ways of working of Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and digital teams along with other functional teams and associated deliverables meeting stakeholder expectations; (2) Drive effective collaboration with stakeholders to understand their requirements and to propose solutions in-line with their expectations; (3) Responsible for project planning, executing and closure on time, within scope, and according to plan within the requested quality specifications; (4) Use broad knowledge of project management techniques and methods, and discernment to decide the most appropriate techniques and methods for each project; (5) Drive project governance meetings with various stakeholders, Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, and digital team etc. and execute effective coordination to track and monitor the progress of the projects; (6) Ability to work independently to deliver on the assigned tasks with ownership and delivering as per the requirements; (7) Embracing a mindset of continuous improvement and learning to consistently enhance capabilities and solutions.
- Stakeholders: Build and maintain robust partnership with stakeholders to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate project delivery and drive operational excellence for best-in-class launches.
About you
- Experience:
- >8 years of experience in project management, preferably within a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment, managing large-scale product launches.
- Strong experience working with Agile methodologies to manage and deliver complex projects.
- Proven track record of leading and managing cross-functional projects, particularly in pre-launch and launch activities.
- Experience in coordinating between multiple teams and regions to deliver successful product launches on time and within budget.
- Soft skills: A skilled leader with the ability to guide cross-functional teams, with effective inter-personal skills ensuring alignment, clear communication, and efficient execution of pre-launch and launch activities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Possesses excellent communication and time management skills, effectively balancing multiple tasks while keeping stakeholders informed of project goals, updates, and risks. Empathetic active listener who is skilled in conflict resolution, ability to motivate and inspire team members would be a preferred candidate.
- Technical skills:
- Proficient in Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean to manage and track project progress.
- Certifications like Certified Scrum Master, Professional Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum Master is preferred. Additionally, Project Management Professional certification would be desirable.
- Experience with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana) to manage sprints, track tasks, and report on progress.
- Expertise in maintaining project schedules, tracking key milestones, and ensuring launch dates are consistently updated and communicated.
- Strong skills in identifying and mitigating risks that could impact launch timelines or project success.
- Ability to create detailed project reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders, clearly highlighting project status, risks, and next steps.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, engineering, marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree in business administration focusing on Project Management or a master's in information technology is preferred
- Languages: Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
