Main responsibilities:

The Channel Lead Pharmacy is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the pharmacy channel in Indonesia. This role involves developing and executing channel strategies, managing distributors, and leading distributor team to achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and operation within the consumer healthcare industry and a deep understanding of the pharmacy landscape in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities:

Channel Strategy Development:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive channel strategy to drive sales and market share growth in the pharmacy channel.
  • Identify market opportunities, trends, and customer needs to inform strategic planning.
  • Collaborate with the trade marketing team to develop promotional plans and campaigns tailored to the pharmacy channel.
Sales and Distributor Management:
  • Achieve sales targets and KPIs for the pharmacy channel.
  • Manage distributors and oversee the area salesforce under distributor headcount to build strong, long-term relationships.
  • Develop the channel, improve numeric distribution, and open new opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with distributors to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Working closely with supply chain to create forecast by brand, by branch to ensure product availability.

Program Execution and Business Performance:
  • Deliver the Brand Strategy on Shelf via execution of the Perfect Store program and targeted customer engagement.
  • Drive Race to Zero distribution gap closure across all covered stores.
  • Ensure account standards, seasonal activation, and cycle planning processes are in place and executed against the commercial calendar.
  • Ensure robust management systems (SFE/TRAX) are in place to measure CHC performance by channel, customer, and rep.
Field Execution and Team Leadership:
  • Spend a high percentage of time in the field with key customers and sales reps to drive hands-on execution of the channel strategy.
  • Fully leverage sales management tools to identify and capture business opportunities and to coach and develop the field sales force.
  • Lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing direction, coaching, and support to achieve sales objectives.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the team, ensuring alignment with company values and goals.

About you
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and operation within the healthcare or consumer goods industry, with a focus on the pharmacy channel.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of the pharmacy landscape in Indonesia.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
