As Obligation Management Support - Team Lead reporting to the Head of Contract Obligations Management & Audit, a part of the Contract Excellence team within Procurement Services, the Team Lead plays a critical role in executing the functions strategy for Contract Obligations Management and is responsible for continuously enhancing Sanofi's relationship with third party suppliers while also identifying opportunities to maximize value from each contract. Partnering closely with colleagues from across Contract Excellence, Procurement, Legal, Ethics and Business Integrity, Global Security and the business, the Team Lead and his/her team will proactively monitor adherence to agreed upon contractual provisions, the implementation of corrective actions where applicable, and general improvements to contract and supplier governance.

Main responsibilities:
  • Contract Obligations Management: Manage, oversee and lead the execution of the functions Contract Obligations Management strategy, ensuring adherence to agreed upon contractual provisions and the identification of potential contract improvements:
    • In collaboration with Procurement, the business and the Contract Excellence GPO, design the end-to-end Supplier Relationship Management and Contract Obligations Management process, and prepare any related documentation to support the work of Contract Obligations Management Support staff.
    • Ensure Contract Obligations Management tools and data are properly designed, established and up to date to efficiently conduct all contract obligations management support activities and contractual obligations are timely and properly monitored to identify and address instances of non-compliance.
    • Contribute to the evaluation of contract performance through early identification of contract-related compliance and general performance issues; escalate where relevant and provide periodic reporting to proactively monitor and track contract performance and adherence.
  • Continuous improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to simplify and streamline Contract Obligations Management operations.
    • In collaboration with the Head of Contract Obligations Management & Audit, the broader Contract Obligations Management team, the Contract Excellence GPO and relevant stakeholders (i) develop and periodically re-assess best Contract Obligations Management procedures to ensure best-in-class contract oversight and performance monitoring and (ii) identify main contract-related risks and improvement opportunities.
    • Contribute to the development of a robust set of Contract Excellence analytics.
  • People Management:
    • Manage a team of Contract Obligations Management Support and participate in the development of Contract Obligations Management Support team members managed either functionally or transversally.

About you

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in contract obligations management, including related team management.
  • Strong analytics skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lead teams through change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time.

Soft skills:
  • Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills; ability to drive operational excellence through data-driven insights.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective collaborator with strong trust-building and influencing skills.

Education:
  • Advanced degree in Legal, Finance (BSc or MSc), or other business discipline.

Languages:
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
