The North Europe Neurology Medical Manager provide medical support externally as well as across internal functions that is aligned and integrated to the overall medical strategy within the BU. The North Europe Neurology Medical Manager executes the medical and scientific (non-promotional) scientific communication strategy for fully aligned with the North Europe Neurology medical and cross functional strategy. The North Europe Neurology Medical Manager is a trusted source of scientific and medical information for North Europe.

Main Responsibilities:

The North Europe Neurology Medical Manager will participate to and execute the medical and scientific (non-promotional) strategy for the North Europe Neurology portfolio/therapeutic area in close partnership with the other functional franchise leads and in alignment with the overall franchise strategy.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Lead creation and implementation of medical Scientific Communication plans.
  • Initiate and drive Scientific Communication projects to fill knowledge and awareness gaps, raise standards of care and change clinical practice.
  • Champion the patient voice when developing and implementing medical strategies.
  • Drive strong collaborative relationships with commercial and cross-functional teams, including marketing, value & access, health economics, regulatory and clinical.
  • Lead and drive rapid Scientific Communication planning and execution through deep understanding of internal and external stakeholder Scientific Communication needs and robust knowledge gaps analysis.
  • Effectively and compliantly share unmet needs of HCPs and their centres on behalf of the country medical teams with cross-functional MCO teams to inform patient centric strategy.
  • Engage externally in field with HCPs and develop a good understanding of HCP communication preferences to adapt communication style and optimise use of relevant channels to suit.
  • Implement true scientific engagement journeys by bridging channel disconnect to drive ongoing engagement and grow collaborative opportunities and meaningful scientific exchange.
  • Leads internal collaboration centred around Scientific Communication activities and ensure data, facts and observations are gathered, reviewed and analysed to be identified and incorporated in strategic decision making.
  • Create and disseminate across channels industry leading digital educational and scientific content that is timely, relevant, interactive and innovative.

About you

Education/Experience/Certification:
  • Doctorate level education preferred: MD or equivalent medical degree, PhD or PharmD. Minimum education of a MSc in biomedical or biopharmaceutical sciences required.
  • Industry experience (including medical affairs field or office) and/or clinical experience mandatory, ideally with Neurology experience.
  • Good understanding of Scientific Communication aspects
  • Content creation experience, ability to transform scientific knowledge into the snackable content.
  • Be confident in the use of digital, omnichannel, video and text editing tools and ability to adapt to new channels.
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate new data and integrate into new therapy area.
  • Ability to act independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to the grey areas.
  • Collaborates effectively with external & internal stakeholders while maintaining full compliance with company, industry, legal and regulatory requirements.

Languages:
  • Fluent level in spoken and written business English (required)
  • Dutch (an advantage)
