The Data and Computational Sciences group is a growing team within the Sanofi mRNA Center of Excellence (CoE). Our team is dedicated to bringing end-to-end data integration and advanced analytics (pre-clinical, biomarkers, process development, CMC, clinical) to the mRNA CoE. We are responsible for deploying and exploiting digital solutions (AI/machine learning, data, analytics) to integrate the full data value chain; extracting actionable information for a move to a full data driven strategy and decision-making process; and making data and insights accessible throughout the CoE.   • Lead product optimization and development, and coordinate information exchangebetweencross-functionalexperimental and computational teams
  • Develop computational pipelines (e.g., with Nextflow, Snakemake, or WDL) for a variety of Research and Development applications, with particular focus on in vitro and in vivo mRNA screening assays; next-generation sequencing (NGS) data and analysis; and the design, assembly, and quality control (QC) of pDNA and mRNA vaccines and therapeutics
  • Create both one-off and reusable scripts for exploratory analysis, QC checking, and assay assessment
  • Document outputs/artifacts to enable usage/execution/understanding by other personnel
  • Create compelling visual representations of data and analytics results in support of presentation, communication, and decision-making needs for key stakeholders
  • Provide support for experimental results using data analytic and/or machine learning techniques
  • Demonstrate good software engineering practices
  • Represent the mRNA CoE Data and Computational Science team in platform and project technical teams as subject matter expert
  • Proactively identify, assess, and internalize emerging technologies and methods

About you
  • Earned Bachelor or Master level degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field
  • Have a basic understanding of different types of next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays
  • Experience with NGS data/statistical analysis, with a preference for topics such as exploratory analysis and -omics data (e.g., ribosome profiling)
  • Experience with machine learning, such as development of regression/classification models and deep learning models, is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with cloud and parallel computing
  • Comfortable with one or more common data analysis and visualization platforms (e.g., R, RShiny, Python/pandas) and bioinformatics packages (Bioconductor, Biopython, etc.)
  • Comfortable engaging with stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and working collaboratively towards a common goal
  • Adept at communication and adaptation
  • Willing to train individuals and teams on your areas of expertise and on systems you build
  • Fluency in English required; Fluency in French is a plus
