Main responsibilities:

  • Management and execution of field-based medical activities for the vaccines portfolio
  • Support the Medical Manager in the day-to-day management of vaccines related Medical Affairs activities
  • Establish and maintain peer-peer relationships with leading HCPs and other relevant stakeholders
  • Provide medical/scientific expertise to HCPs and stakeholders to support appropriate use of Sanofi vaccines.
  • Attend medical/scientific congresses and meetings related to prioritised therapeutic areas
  • Identifiy and support clinical trials and data generation opportunities
  • Respond to medical information requests as well as support the local field team via effective scientific exchange
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date referenced responses for most commonly asked medical scientific questions
  • Track all information requests and responses and report monthly scientific exchange activity according to company policy and requirements
  • Seek and provide relevant insights and other prioritised information from the field, collaborate and contribute in the design and development of medical/scientific presentation materials, training, and educational programs
  • Obtain medical/scientific marketplace intelligence
  • Contribute to HCPs, patients and patient advocate educational programs
  • Assist in development and implementation of meetings e.g. Advisory Board and Speaker Bureau meetings
  • Ensure compliance of Medical Affairs activities, adherence to budget and operational accountability

About you

  • Experience: 3+ years related industry or clinical experience in vaccines or immunology.
    • Understanding of drug surveillance, product promotion, and the legal aspects of product information.
    • Strong understanding of industry compliance guidelines.
    • Experience in clinical study planning.
    • Demonstrated communication and negotiation skills.
  • Core knowledge, competencies & skills:
    • Capability to work as part of a team, respecting the needs and contribution of those involved
    • Ability to build relationships across departments and functions and to support a collaborative working environment.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills in developing key opinion leader relationships.
    • Ability to critically evaluate clinical literature.
    • Ability to interpret and present complex medical topics.
    • Competency in providing answers to medical and product information requests.
    • Ability to convert complex scientific information into lay terms and effectively communicate such information
    • Sense of urgency, punctuality, availability to work extra-hours.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information with high regard for integrity.
    • Ability to prioritize and successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Ability to receive candid feedback and quickly make appropriate changes to improve performance.
    • Intercultural adaptability and sensitivity.
    • Computer literacy: Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Ms Excel, MS PowerPoint, Ms Outlook; knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Travel requirements:
    • Travel requirements will vary depending upon activity and attendance at clinical meetings and symposia
    • More than 70% travel is expected for this position
  • Education: university degree in Medicine, a relevant Scientific degree can also be acceptable
  • Languages: Fluent in Romanian and English
