This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join Sanofi's Specialty Care Neurology Franchise. As part of this dynamic team, you will play a key role in advancing patient care by building scientific partnerships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and contributing to the company's neurology strategy.
The MSL is responsible for providing balanced, non-promotional, high-level scientific and technical expertise to both internal and external stakeholders. This field-based role combines scientific excellence with strategic collaboration.

Main responsibilities
- Works proactively to deliver the medical plan in territory, collaborating with colleagues in cross-functional field and head office medical teams.
- Works to ensure that any unsolicited request for information from Healthcare professionals (HCPs) is provided in an unbiased and accurate manner.
- Provides scientific and technical leadership to ensure professional and credible relationships with thought leaders and experts.
- Works collaboratively and cross functionally with other Sanofi Teams while retaining functional independence.
- Supports internal training at the request of the division teams and/or regional team to ensure Sanofi teams receive up to date scientific, clinical and therapeutic updates in accordance with company approved materials.
- Collaborates with Medical Advisors, divisional teams and appropriate personnel to execute the medical plans in the field.
- Identify, collect and internally provide insights into medical and scientific field intelligence - for example, competitor research and medical strategies, educational activities.
- Understands the Business Unit/Division strategy and provides scientific support to enable compliant delivery aligned with the medical plan.
- Identify and partner with Key Thought Leaders to broaden clinical experience and knowledge, identify the gaps in clinical data and when requested, facilitate further clinical studies and advisory boards.
- Plays a key role in identifying UK data needs and options for generating evidence. May participate in the planning of clinical trials ensuring that they are aligned to the short and long term medical plan. Knowledge and understanding of the NHS policy for disease area, reimbursement processes and patient referral pathways.
About you
- Educated to degree level in a scientific field; a PhD or healthcare professional (HCP) background is preferred.
- Demonstrable experience as an MSL, with neurology experience highly desirable.
- Strong ability to critically appraise clinical evidence and engage in high-level scientific discussions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering impactful scientific presentations.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, NHS priorities, and regulatory frameworks, including the ABPI Code of Practice.
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams.
