As the UK and IE Medical Engagement Manager you will be actively involved in shaping the successful execution of the medical strategy and your input will play a crucial part in the implementation of the medical plan.

Reporting to the UK&IE Medical Head - Transplant, this role has a key impact on outcomes and therefore will contribute to the overall success of the Transplant Franchise and for Sanofi

Main responsibilities:
  • Defining overall engagement strategy for main key accounts (e.g., Centers of Excellence) and building partnerships with key external experts from these accounts (e.g., KOLs) to ensure execution of the Medical strategy and ensure appropriate tracking of these activities
  • Ensuring operational excellence in execution of medical congress activities including interactions with external experts, educational meetings and assisting with advisory boards
  • Working with cross-functional team to leverage an omnichannel approach in the engagement with external experts in line with Sanofi's digital strategy and orchestrate a high-touch scientific engagement across different innovative channels (e.g., social media, peer-to-peer communities, websites, online portals, etc.), tailored to different segments
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of scientific training to cross-functional teams (incl. commercial) and approving educational materials
  • Supporting speakers training to ensure continued scientific support in the field

About you:

Experience:
  • Deep understanding of HCP engagement and effective partnership (prior experience in Transplant is desired but not mandatory)
  • Experienced in managing complex projects and managing relationships
  • At least 3 years of industry experience preferably in Medical Affairs
  • Scientific degree required (Bachelors or Masters Level or above)

Soft skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to utilize effective, professional communications to influence and cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external colleagues, flexible in own approach to people and situations
  • Outstanding project management skills and execute multiple responsibilities and complex projects, while prioritizing
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, in a multi-disciplinary setting

Technical skills:
  • Strategic and analytical thinking capabilities
  • Highly skilled at executing complex projects
  • Ability to develop, with cross-functional teams, a local multi-factorial stakeholder engagement strategy for a broad stakeholder ecosystem by understanding how they impact each other
  • Ability to leverage an omnichannel approach in the engagement with external experts to orchestrate a high-touch scientific engagement based on their level of maturity and preferences
  • Ability to stay abreast of data, treatment trends, and new information in the profession and ability to articulate Transplant knowledge and translate expert feedback into appropriate insights
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare systems, evolving medical landscape, regulatory and payer environment, public health, and industry trends
