Mission:
To implement and manage all medical activities related to the Therapeutic Area products under their responsibility, in accordance with current regulations, internal procedures, and guidelines from the Medical Management. This is done to achieve the Company's strategic business objectives while ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration with business teams and support areas.
Responsibilities and Functions:
Development of the LOCAL CLINICAL PLAN:
• Identify opportunities for clinical development of Sanofi products or generation of knowledge in the therapeutic area.
• Design local studies or collaborate with investigators/scientific societies.

• Evaluate proposed projects (studies and non-studies - e.g., telemedicine).
• Prepare the necessary documentation for approval applications.
• Advocate for projects in company committees.
• Monitor project implementation through the MSL team.
• Prepare periodic activity reports.
• Collaborate with coordinating investigators on the publication plan, meeting global objectives.
• Monitor the positioning and scientific messages nationally from our main competitors in the therapeutic area of responsibility to maximize the effectiveness of our scientific projects and on-field strategy.
• Support customer initiatives on publications aligned with product or pathology strategies.
Continued Education, in collaboration with the MSL team:
• Develop training plans, including slides/supporting documents.
• Prepare or reinforce messages in strategic publications and scientific content in materials.
• Collect and develop information on competitor molecules, comparing them with our products.
• Provide scientific information-training to customers: presentation of new data (off-label studies/out-of-indication), slide kits, data discussion, and updating scientific evidence.
• Respond to therapeutic queries.
• Protocolize the use of products under their responsibility and inclusion in guidelines.
Meetings and Presentations, in collaboration with the MSL team:
• Scientific responsibility, ensuring speakers' knowledge of updated messages and scientific evidence. Planning and development with MSLs.
• Update national KTLs-KOLs on messages and scientific evidence, setting visit frequency.
• Invite investigators to meetings and advice, with communication to MSLs.
• Actively participate in meetings and account plans, in coordination with MSLs, Sales, and Market Access.
Communication:
• Periodic update of studies and other plans included in the business plan, including investment.
• Attend congresses and meetings as determined, subsequently transmitting relevant information.
• Attend determined international meetings, providing a local perspective.
• Participate in cross-department projects.
Relationship with KTLs-KOLs/Decision-Makers:
• Contact, build, and maintain a network of national leaders who can act as influencers/advocates for the company's products.
• Implement a systematic approach plan to present products (launches, new indications, new evidence based on studies, etc.) to decision-makers and influencers.
• Medical communication/information of products to Technical Bodies of Autonomous Communities/Hospitals, jointly with Market Access.
• Continuous contact, through a systematic approach plan, to present products (launches, new indications, new evidence based on studies, etc.) to national decision-makers and influencers in coordination with the access team.
• Scientific support in the preparation of the reference dossier for hospital pharmacy committees.
Coordination:
• Share activities with MSLs (share best practices).
• Evaluate successful activities and the feasibility of implementing them in other areas/regions.
• Bidirectional communication with sales/MKT/Access teams.
• Close collaboration with the rest of the Medical Department (Registries/Pharmacovigilance/Documentation/Quality and Promotion).
• Collaboration with corporate medical teams to ensure the proper implementation of the international medical strategy and bidirectional communication on local market characteristics.
Business Development:
• Identify business opportunities, working cross-functionally and with very fluid communication with sales teams, MSLs, Market Access, and market analysis, both in the BU and other areas to optimize our commercial competitiveness.
The Medical Advisor will at all times comply with the procedures defined by HSE in Occupational Health and Environmental Protection, taking a proactive attitude in these matters, as well as with the rest of Sanofi's procedures and current regulations on medicines.

Experience and knowledge requirements:
Qualifications:
• University Degree in the field of Health Sciences.
• Proficient / Advance in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Effective communication with individuals of diverse profiles.
• Knowledge of legislation regarding clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, basic statistics, medical writing, and the code of good practices for promotion.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in scientific areas.
• Familiarity with the Therapeutic Area of Multiple Sclerosis.
