Strategic Context:
Currently, Sanofi has the most robust pipeline and forthcoming product launches in the company's history. As the next phase of our Play-To-Win strategy, Sanofi must appropriately support this pipeline to materialize our vision of delivering scientific miracles to patients worldwide. Thus, modernizing the Sanofi operational structure is also required. In line with this, project DRIVE is shepherding change throughout the organization and created the development of the Go-to-Market Capabilities (GTMC) team within the company.
The new GTMC organization is charged with delivering best-in-class capabilities to bring speed and increased value to commercial operations. It will refine priorities across products, markets, and the pipeline through dynamic resources allocation and efficiencies. Silos between business units and duplicative and overlapping resources will be replaced with standardized processes and tools. Operating with a One Sanofi mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, GTMC will accelerate and improve key capabilities to do more with less and facilitate the best-informed strategic decision making across the organization.

The GTMC organization aims to:
- Centralize Go-to-Market operational tasks across GBUs
- Standardize best in class capabilities, strengthen global support, and implement a better vertical reporting structure within GTMC from local to global
- Define ways of working, bringing clarity on the interactions across GBUs, Digital, and Commercial executional support teams from Sanofi hubs to optimize process excellence and efficiency
The Lead, New Product Planning will be responsible for analyzing the internal and external opportunities of strategic interest to Sanofi's portfolio. This person will be an integral partner to the leadership as a key component to this role will be determining the commercial value of internal and external assets across the business, and in that role will be integral to helping develop and execute the business strategy for the commercial organization.

Main Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to
- Manage patient-based forecasts projecting units and revenue for early PIII, PII, and earlier stage products in the Sanofi Portfolio
- Collaborate with commercial leadership, new product planning (NPP), finance, and business development (BD) to define and assess opportunities and determine the overall fit and value to Sanofi
- Be a key leader/contributor to the Strategic Portfolio reviews and Strategic Planning processes, in addition to supporting scenario-based analyses to guide business decision-making for pipeline assets
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop the information and analytic toolbox to produce accurate revenue projections for existing assets and new market opportunities (market research, landscape analyses due diligence on external opportunities, etc.)
- Lead the process of synthesizing relevant market research and competitive data into insights guiding commercial assessments
- Produce executive-level presentations with strong, logical, data-driven analyses
- Directly supervise day-to-day operations of Hub teams, ensuring contributors are successfully implementing GTMC processes for Sanofi. Consistent oversight of related Hub activities is performed whether Hub contributors report to this role or not.
- Collaborate with Hub contributors to fulfill business needs, conduct regular meetings with the Hub to review completed work and manage Hub activity timelines / prioritization
- Advise Hub contributors on GTMC processes, involved I&A tools, inputs and outputs as well as business principles.
- Partner with the Hub on development of projects in support of forecasting and commercial assessment
About You
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD) preferred
Skills and Competencies
- 7+ years or relevant experience in pharmaceutical/ biotech role with 2 to 3 years of experience in Commercial Assessment/Forecasting within Biopharma or life science consulting required with a medical/scientific advanced degree or without an advanced degree
- Excellent analytical and forecasting skills, with demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain short and long-term forecast model
- Strong proven thoughtful leadership, analytical, and communication skills required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment with many cross-functional partners; interact and communicate with all levels in the organization
- Ability to understand and guide the decisions of senior management by assessing and presenting relevant insights, drivers, and barriers
- Proactive in nature, detailed and structured thinker, and self-motivated
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Excel skills (including pivot tables, filtering, lookups, and index/match)
- Promotes a good working relationship with supervisors, co-workers, and staff; ability to self-manage time and to meet deadlines
