Strategic Context:
Currently, Sanofi has the most robust pipeline and forthcoming product launches in the company's history. As the next phase of our Play-To-Win strategy, Sanofi must appropriately support this pipeline to materialize our vision of delivering scientific miracles to patients worldwide. Thus, modernizing the Sanofi operational structure is also required. In line with this, project DRIVE is shepherding change throughout the organization and created the development of the Go-to-Market Capabilities (GTMC) team within the company.
The new GTMC organization is charged with delivering best-in-class capabilities to bring speed and increased value to commercial operations. It will refine priorities across products, markets, and the pipeline through dynamic resources allocation and efficiencies. Silos between business units and duplicative and overlapping resources will be replaced with standardized processes and tools. Operating with a One Sanofi mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, GTMC will accelerate and improve key capabilities to do more with less and facilitate the best-informed strategic decision making across the organization.

The GTMC organization aims to:
- Centralize Go-to-Market operational tasks across GBUs
- Standardize best in class capabilities, strengthen global support, and implement a better vertical reporting structure within GTMC from local to global
- Define ways of working, bringing clarity on the interactions across GBUs, Digital, and Commercial executional support teams from Sanofi hubs to optimize process excellence and efficiency
The Lead, Master Data Management Stewardship & Governance - Customer is responsible for authoring customer data governance policies/ standards and establishing compliance across Sanofi data governance and data privacy initiatives. As a member of the data management team, you will work closely with ethics & compliance, legal, and digital teams to ensure effective data governance compliance while working to improve data quality and ensure the availability of accurate, impactful, customer data across Sanofi.

Main Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to
- Develop and implement data governance framework across internal data assets, focusing on enhancement of data quality, and safeguarding sensitive information through change management, authoring, and implementing data governance policies and standards
- Develop and implement strategies for cleansing and standardizing data, with a focus on product, and vendor data and Identify and rectify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and errors through effective data profiling and analysis
- Support the creation of automated, scalable approaches for data quality issue identification, support mitigation, the development and implementation of data quality standards and data protection standards, processes, and procedures within the organization.
- Drive Sanofi's master data asset stewardship capabilities (Master Data Management, Channel Aggregation, etc.) that fulfill the business needs and enable data-driven decision making across teams
- Advise and advocate for, appropriate use of data across all Global therapeutic areas, according to industry best practices
- Define data management framework that is aligned with evolving regulatory, privacy and security requirements
- Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
- Develop training materials and supporting documentation to enhance data literacy across the organization
- Serve as a liaison between functional and technology teams to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning
- Communicate progress, escalations, and issues to key stakeholders
- Directly supervise day-to-day operations of Hub teams, ensuring contributors are successfully implementing GTMC processes for Sanofi. Consistent oversight of related Hub activities is performed whether Hub contributors report to this role or not.
- Collaborate with Hub contributors to fulfill business needs, coordinate regular meetings with the Hub to review completed work and manage Hub activity timelines / prioritization
- Advise Hub contributors on GTMC processes, involved I&A tools, inputs and outputs as well as business principles.
- Partner with the Hub on development of projects in support of data management
About You
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, MD, PhD) preferred
Skills and Competencies
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience with a data management program ideally around the R&D Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry required; equivalent combination of education (MA, MS, MBA / PhD) and / or relevant consulting experience may be considered
- Experience in authoring data governance policies, procedures and standards and ensuring adherence by business leads and users
- Experience with data capabilities such as modern data catalogs and metadata managers
- Expert knowledge of secondary data sources and suppliers in the US market, such as IQVIA, Komodo, Clarivate, MMIT, etc.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other data analytics and visualization tools is preferred
- Strong understanding of data governance and data privacy frameworks and best practices is necessary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are required
- The ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment is important
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements related to data governance is expected
