Join our Immunology and Inflammation Research Center of Excellence on Immune Regulation and Autoimmune Diseases (AID) at the Vitry site as a Group Head and you'll lead Immunology research activities within an immune tolerance and autoimmunity cluster.

The activities of your team will concentrate on the identification of novel therapeutic concepts in immune regulation and tolerance with the potential to lead to transformative treatments of autoimmune diseases. Your team will encompass activities spanning from the identification of nodal targets and pathways that can be manipulated to intercept the pathogenic immune cells in AID, the exploration of innovative and disruptive modalities supporting transformative therapeutic development, as well as the development of translational assays for screening of the chemical and biological space.

Main responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership and Motivation: Inspire and motivate the team of scientists and technicians. Provide guidance and set common objectives
  • Project Management and Immunology Expertise: Supervise research projects related to immune tolerance, immune regulation, and autoimmunity. Identify promising targets and innovative therapeutic approaches. Lead their advancement through Sanofi's governance processes
  • Innovative Approaches and Immune Tolerance Assays: Develop novel in vitro and ex vivo methods to support portfolio programs. Design and execute assays to elucidate mechanisms of action and understand disease biology
  • Productive Environment and External Collaborations: Create an environment where scientific excellence and innovation in immunology thrive. Establish collaborations with key opinion leaders and external research centers

About you
  • Experience Highlights: Industry and/or academic research in immunology and drug discovery. Bringing molecules into development. Expertise in inflammation, immune regulation, and autoimmune diseases. Proven track record of collaboration with CROs, academic groups, and industrial partners. Successful leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Soft and technical skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient negotiation abilities. Strategic planning and foresight. Adaptability in dynamic environments. Recognized scientific expertise (inventorship, peer-reviewed publications). Cellular immunology and immunological assays. Strong knowledge of adaptive and innate immunity. Experience in immunology and inflammation disease areas
  • Education: PhD-level in Immunology, Cellular immunologist with biopharmaceutical industry experience
  • Languages: English (French desirable)
