This new Business Unit will enable the delivery of best-in-class business support capabilities across the organization, incorporating and engaging disparate teams from across areas such as R&D, M&S, the Corporate Functions and GBUs into new global Service Delivery Towers with initial services spanning Commercial, Finance, Procurement and People & Culture.

Reporting to the Global Process Lead, the Global Process Expert plays a critical role in the design, execution, and transformation of Sanofi's Source to Pay strategy. As Global Process Expert, the incumbent will be responsible for the design, development, optimization, and governance of parts of the S2P process, a key L2 process in the organizations Source to Pay core model. They bear the responsibility for driving process standardization, optimization, and improvement initiatives across the organization's global operations. This role involves working closely with regional and local teams and outsourced service provider, as well as a deep understanding of S2P technology (Coupa, Concur etc.), to identify, develop, and implement best practices that enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency of processes worldwide.

Role purpose:
  • Drive best-in-class design for the end-to-end Procurement process from Strategic Budget Planning, Category Management, Supplier Management to Sourcing.
  • Strategic Planning & Budget: Optimize existing COGS budget, pricing, forecasting and savings process to support Manufacturing & Supply as well as Finance teams in P&L generation.
  • Category Strategy: Enabling Procurement Domains and Categories by investigating into a tool-supported strategy process and by supporting to deliver relevant data for Procurement strategies.
  • Supplier Management: Develop today's Supplier Management framework into a best-in-class model. Enable automated feeding of Procurement teams with relevant supplier information.
  • Sourcing: Enable a best-in-class Sourcing process leveraging Coupa Sourcing Module. Ensure that outsourced support to Procurement is provided in globally consistent and efficient way.

Responsibilities:
  • Process Design & Optimization: Design and optimize processes within the S2P value chain, aligning with global best practices. Identify opportunities for improvement, implement solutions, and promote standardized ways of working. Guide Core Model deployment and review changes to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Management & Governance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Finance, IT, Operations) to ensure process alignment. Manage stakeholder meetings, involve them in project governance, and ensure compliance and internal controls are embedded in process designs.
  • Technology Optimization: Act as a global expert on process technologies (e.g., Coupa, Concur), set process and technology standards, and provide options to improve automation, user experience, and solution usage based on market trends and best practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead core model improvement initiatives, manage project timelines, risks, and escalations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Ensure appropriate documentation and effective communication to stakeholders on process changes.
  • Performance Reporting: Contribute to KPI definition, support implementation, and monitor performance. Provide guidance on deviations and create reporting packages as needed for regions.

About you

Experience:
  • Proven experience (7+ year) in Source-to-Pay or Procure-to-Pay process ownership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization, standardization, and change management.
  • Expert knowledge of S2P solutions (Coupa, Concur etc.)
  • Strong understanding of S2P processes at scale in a global context.
  • Experience in implementing source-to-pay technology solutions (e.g., e-procurement, spend analytics) is preferred.
  • International experience working with diverse cultures and global teams is nice to have.

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence to drive adoption of standardized S2P processes.

Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) are an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) are preferred.

Languages:
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Travel:
  • Ability to travel approximately up to max 20% of the time, if needed.
