As Global Buyer Real Estate and Workplace you will be responsible, for the category of spend assigned, for implementing sourcing strategies according to category management strategies and leading sourcing activities across all business units at global level. In this position you will work closely with the Global Lead Buyer Real Estate and to manage 4 main types of spend accounting for almost 400M€ at global level: Real Estate Leases, Real Estate Design works and fit-out, and Real Estate services and workplace furniture's.

You will contribute to manage the development of global sourcing strategies throughout the various business entities, geographies, and organizations and will be accountable to implement those strategies operationally at Global, Regional, and country level, for a direct scope estimated at 150M€.

This position, part of the Procurement Professional Services Domain, will report to the Global Category Manager of Real Estate and Workplace services.

Main responsibilities:

Operations Management
  • Ensure the implementation and operational follow-up of action plans derived from the strategies defined by the Category Management and/or Procurement Business Partners, in close collaboration with the procurement network and stakeholders
  • Provide support to the Global Lead Buyer of the category to ensure the execution of the strategy and sourcing execution
  • Deliver savings pipeline in line with targets
  • Data crunching: Collect, clean, organize and analyze large volumes of raw data. Leveraging advanced Excel formulas and functions (V/Xlook up, index Match, concatenate, SUMIF, IFAND etc.). Stripping out unwanted information and formatting, translating data into the required format and structuring it for analysis (pareto, charts etc.) or processing by other applications.
  • Lead global RFIs/RFPs and contract negotiations for your domain/category
  • Report on status, savings, performance, and risks on the sourcing activities you are in charge of
  • Stay informed on current industry trends and new market developments related to your category area
  • Undertake benchmarking against other industries and best practices, capture category innovation upfront and assess potential into Sanofi environment with the support of the relevant stakeholders
  • Run robust Supplier Management with business reviews & performance management. Ensure mastery of Procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intel, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality, etc.)
  • Coordination of procurement activities for many and parallel Fit-out projects and strong interactions with Project and Cost Managers, appointed architects, and technical engineers
Stakeholder Management
  • Develop robust Business Partnerships with various Global & Regional Real Estate teams, and foster two-way supportive relationships
  • Partner closely with Procurement Services, Legal, Compliance, Internal Control and Finance teams towards successful completion of complex global scale negotiation and projects
  • Presents Procurement strategies to key internal customers for review and input

About you

Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience in either a procurement Real Estate category Management or Real Estate advisory / Project and cost management firm or Architecture firm

Soft Skills/ Technical skills:
  • Knowledge of best-in-class Procurement techniques and processes
  • Consistency of focus upon delivery of outcomes and results
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to utilize tools/systems accordingly
  • Analytic advanced skills for data crunching purpose (Excel, Power BI, Thinkcell, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently on multiple concurrent priorities/projectswith strong planning, problem-solving and responsive decision-making skills
  • Able to quickly assimilate new information/skills, adaptive to new environment, processes and ways of working
  • Actively seeks feedback to identify opportunities for improvementand creative in imagining new processes, innovative ideas, and solutions
  • Possesses strong competency in partnering with various stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Education:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from accredited University (master degree is preferred)

Languages:
  • Fluency in English is a must; a second European Language like French or German (at proficient level) is a plus
